I waited in the patient room for over 45 minutes. I left with an optionated diagnosis. Antibiocts are over used in the US. Even though I've been running a fever (which her nurse did not bother to check) and productive cough, and a diagnosis of pleurisy she refused to prescribe an antibiotic.

Dr Ellis, while still a resident, saved my sons life!! She listened to her gut, telling her that normal asthma was NOT RIGHT! Had to get her superior to ok CT and X-rays, as he told her to always listen to her gut!! CT scan showed cancer! At almost 15 yrs old, my son was sent to children's hospital!! He was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma. The oncologist said if Dr Ellis wouldn't have listened to her gut when she did, our son probably would have died! Dr Ellis followed up almost weekly calling me personally! She even gave me her personal cell # if I had any questions! She's now fully credentialed and we wouldn't have it any other way but her as our sons dr! She's thorough, wonderful bedside manner, listens! I highly recommend!!
