I appreciated her professionalism and time spent with me explaining everything regarding Lyme, auto immune, RA and determining the right course of action after testing, my history and symptoms. I would highly recommend this Doctor

Dr. Gaito was very helpful in accurately diagnosing and resolving an ongoing Lyme infection that had persisted over several years despite multiple courses of previous antibiotic treatment. I am now, for the first time in a long time, starting to see my symptoms gradually improve. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is currently suffering from Lyme Disease, as well as those who suspect they may be.

I initially went to Dr. Gaito back in 2015 when I received results from my primary physician indicating I had tested positive for Lyme. When I first met Dr. Gaito she seemed knowledgeable, however I would later find out she doesn't know her a... from her elbow. My first visit she drew blood (and scribbled a bunch of garbage on a piece of paper) and told me she'd know within a few weeks what the results were. When I went back for my follow up she confirmed I had Lyme.She started me on the antibiotic Augmentin and told me to comeback in a month. When I went back to see her I felt better but anyone who does research on Lyme knows that Lyme can remain dormant in your body for 3 months so you may feel fine and then several months later the symptoms return which is what happened with me. When I told her what was happening she merely stated that was normal and that those symptoms should go away within 3 months to a year. That it varies person to person. NOT TRUE!!!! If your symptoms reappear… after you've taken antibiotics then that means YOU STILL HAVE LYME!!!! Needless to say I eventually went to see another doctor (a real Lyme specialist) and am currently being treated, not just for Lyme but a co-infection as well( Dr. Gaito only ever mentioned I had Lyme). What angers me is I could've been treated early on had she known what she'd been doing, however because of her incompetence and inability to be truthful to patients I now am and will be living with chronic Lyme for the rest of my life.

Wrote everything off as psychiatric when symptoms didn't magically disappear in a few months. Never even broached neuro Lyme. Had to go elsewhere to get treated. Staff is nice at first but rude as time goes on. Emergency coverage is horrible. Got yelled at for calling over the weekend when a script didn't get called in on Friday but there is NO WAY to leave a message. This practice has no skills in dealing with the fragile Lyme population despite statements to the contrary

Dr. Gaito came highly recommended for my raging Lyme symptoms that did not get better on 3 weeks of antibiotics from my PCP. At first, I thought she was amazing. She seemed incredibly knowledgeable and. Also very kind and supportive. That was five months ago. I've been back her monthly and she's drawn blood and prescribed different antibiotics. This time, when I went to pay I was told not to make a follow up appointment until the blood work came back. That was 26 days ago!!! I'm still pretty sick here and have left messages but no one has called with results. Even if I am miraculously cured, I believe I am owed a phone call to say so and an explanation of why I still have raging symptoms. Her staff is spotty. Sometimes nice. Sometimes outright rude. I am changing doctors.

Similar to some of the reviews, I find working with Dr Gaito and her staff difficult. While I understand lyme can be tricky to cure with antibiotics, there is no excuse for lack of follow up regarding blood work results, other questions about your disease, and billing questions. Asking patients same questions on secondary visit is obviously redundant. Considering high cost of this doctors office services, I would recommend researching elsewhere.

I am honestly surprised by the extremely positive reviews. True, there is no wait time; she runs a tight ship. And her staff is lovely. But her bedside manner leaves much to be desired. For lyme disease, I don't find her much better than the average doctor. We moved to the area, which is why I switched Lyme doctors, but under her care (1 year now, I wanted to give her program time to work) I consistently feel worse, not better. And she doesn't follow up.

Dr Gaito was the most professional Dr. I have ever experienced. She is warm, compassionate, caring and encouraging! I had resistant Lyme disease due to a misdiagnosis and improper treatment in my home state. Dr. Gaito retested me and got me on the correct course and length of treatment. I had 2 reoccurrences but she switched meds and I am happy to say I have recovered completely! I can't say enough good things about her! She promised me I would get better and I did. If you are having issues with Lyme, I highly recommend you make an appointment with her. I feel like she saved my life!!

Fantastic doctor, was able to cure my lyme after 12 years

Dr Gaito diagnosed my Lyme disease & co infections after I had been walking around incorrectly diagnosed and incorrectly treated for many months. She is intuitive, compassionate and nothing short of brilliant. If you even suspect you have any tick borne infection, call the office and get in to see Dr. Gaito asap. It might be the best gift you give yourself. Seriously.
