Dr. Andrea Palmer Juliao, MD

Dr. Andrea Juliao has been my family practice physician for over 8 years. As a professor of nursing, I have been extremely pleased by the individualized, compassionate care she provides. I never feel like I'm being rushed when I visit her, and she takes the time to evaluate me holistically.

I went to Dr Juliao (pronounced like hoolio) after having gone through several doctors to find the right one. I'm so glad I found her because about a month after switching I started having extreme pain in my upper right abdomen. I went to the emergency room and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so told me to see a gastroenterologist, which put me on about a 2 week long waiting list. I had another attack of pain and this time called my doctor, they paged her at 6am in the morning and she called me back right away from her home. She arranged for me to come see the nurse (because her schedule was packed) after hearing the nurse' recommendation she wrote orders for the hospital and faxed them asap. Because of this they promptly took me in and performed all the tests she ordered. Turns out my gallbladder was severely inflamed and had several gallstones. They removed it, thankfully (pain was unbearable). She even called to check up on me and the next day actually came to the hospital… to see how I was. Seriously what doctor does that!She is amazing, very easy to talk to, and takes your concerns seriously. I highly recommend her. I also love the staff they are all awesome especially the nurse, Rita Williams. She's a sweetheart as well.As far as the waiting goes, it's not so bad if you bring a book or magazine, and do not make an appointment on Monday or Friday. Those seem to be the busiest days. Anyhow, the wait is worth it.
