Dr. Andrea Michelle Matthews, MD

Called office at 9:15 AM .Girl in office said she’d look aT ER report and call me back in a few minutes. It’s now 3:45 pm and no call back. I didn mention ai was not feeling well

I would never recommend “Dr” Matthews. She cares more about being right and proving she’s a “doctor” than doing what is correct for the patient. She ordered the wrong imaging tests and when told by the imaging staff she refused to write the correct order. I myself attempted to get the correct order from her and she wouldn’t give it to me. She wanted what she wanted. Essentially she wanted me to go have the wrong test, pay out of pocket expenses for it, and then go back and have the correct test later to get the correct diagnosis. Absurd! All because she couldn’t just listen to the recommendation of the physician that would reading the study. Please beware and go to another Dr. I am currently looking because I will not be seeing her again.

Feel sorry for her. No bedside mannwr very confrontational. Gives bad news first, very negative attitude. Wish she would try harder to just be kind. Will say she is very thorough. Needs to do better with speaking to her patients with kindness and understanding.

Very competent. I have been seeing Dr. Matthews for almost 2 years. She is very caring and knowledgeable. I have had minor issues with staff but nothing terrible.

Dr. Matthews may not have an excellent bedside manner but she is well-versed and knowledgable in respect to her medical education. She may appear stand-offish and or too precise in her mannerism but she has only been practicing for five years and we feel she will excel in her career and succeed. If you were new to the field of medicine, you may also give exceptional consideration in the field you are practicing until you are confident to the array of various outcomes. We would say stick with her.
