Dr. Andrea Renee Miles, MD

I will be changing doctors soon for my mother. The nurses are nice but Dr. Miles constantly interrupts my mother and they don't respect patients. I was disrespected also. They don't care about you or the patient.

Always trying to talk you out of what you ask for or if you tried a over the counter medicine what's the point of going to you if you can't write a RX

To say the least the communication with this doctor and staff has been subpar. She does not make you feel comfortable with placing your health care needs in her hands or her staff. They're tons of ophysicians out there. Please FIND ANOTHER ONE.

As someone who has struggled with depression and has been treated differently for the worse when I reveal that to healthcare providers, I can say that I dislike when care providers try to pull the wool over my eyes or gaslight me. Depression doesn’t make me less intelligent or incapable of understanding when I’m being mistreated. As such, I addressed an issue with Dr. Miles after multiple instances of miscommunication or dishonesty from her team, including her. I prefer documentation in writing so that I can always reference back in the event that I forget something and in cases like these, and I even tend to take notes during my visits. For my interactions with this office, I’ve also kept voicemails from the MAs and copies of my chart messages. Rather than acknowledging how the miscommunication has impacted my care or confidence in the practice, Dr. Andrea Miles chalked it up to “I’m sorry you feel that we are not meeting your needs.” This isn’t about my feelings. This is addressing… where the staff fell short and there is no accountability. They have withheld paperwork and lied about delays. Despite having previous medical records of a positive ppd and needing chest X-rays for medical forms, Dr. Miles still subjected me to another ppd skin test, which no kidding, was positive. She’s responded with sarcasm whenever I’ve addressed pitfalls in their patient care communications. How will they correct and do better? I’m aware of Dr. Miles closing statement in her most recent correspondence, “If you are unhappy with your care here, we can recommend an office closer to your home that may fit your needs better”; which is a tactic taught to us in medical school and on rounds to transition a patient’s care when you don’t want to work with them anymore since you cannot legally “dump a patient.” I don’t want to work with a physician who doesn’t want me on their service and cannot own up to when there has been some shortcomings on their/their team’s behalf and address it, only to put that blame back on the patient as “feelings,” so I will gladly remove myself from her service because I would like to work with someone that I can trust and be able to address them if I have concerns about how my care is being handled. I am an informed patient, advocate for myself, and will not be walked over or spoken to any kind of way. I speak to & treat my healthcare providers with respect; I’d expect the same in return.

She is MIA often and when that happens there’s no alternative. But to make matters worse when we needed her help the most she completely deserted us. My 91 yr old Mom was in the hospital with a fractured back. They gave her 12 pain pills while we were waiting for a rehab to have an available bed for her. She is completely immobile. The dr was aware of this because our family called and left many messages. They chose to call us back days later AFTER Ms. Miles left for “vacation” only to tell us that we would have to come in for a visit to get meds. But how when they called us after she had already left the office FOR A WEEK. If you choose to see a dr of this caliber after reading this don’t be surprised when she treats you badly. Btw I have been a patient there for years and so was my Mom. But it was strictly because there isn’t much to choose from on the south side of Atlanta. But no dr is better than this. I can only hope her Loved one has the same type of treatment in the future.

Dr. Miles is nice, but Belinda is a rude and nasty woman. I called and asked whether or not they perform pelvic ultrasounds and she said that "This is a doctor's office." She then proceeded to laugh at me. How she got this job I don't know. Should she be fired, Yes!

This is a doctor who is not pro-active in your medical care. I was unable to walk for a entire month in JAN 2012. I requested for a x-ray or any intervention (MRI; bloodwork) to find out what was going on. Referral to a Spinal Specialist. Nothing, Dr. Miles did absolutely nothing. I went to another Doctor who informed me my spine was unstable. I was in extreme pain and out of work for a month. This episode did pass. Do you think, that a person who is not overweight, in relative good health, who wakes up in extreme pain and the inability to walk; more could have been done? I am a nurse and have been one for 30 yrs. PASS.

Excellent! Ended up having appt. with Dr. Miles after my Dr. didn't have any open appts. Needless to say, I never went back to my original Dr. Dr Miles' bedside manner was second to none! She was very attentive to my concerns and ALWAYS has such a pleasant demeanor. I have gladly recommended her to my friends and family members who have sought a primary care physician. Many doctors can learn a thing or two from her about the importance of actually "caring" for those you treat. She is, indeed, an angel!

dr miles is great so pleasent caring and really gets down to the problem her assistant on the other hand jeesh twice she wa on the phone while taking my vitals, then just so unprofressional where did she find her job corps ghetto does not even begin to start. the doc and the front desk absolutely superb
