Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for Dr. Marcotty. I chose him simply based on the reputation of the Cleveland Clinic, and wow, did I make a great choice. Without offering false promises, and by focusing on the facts in a compassionate way that appealed to my intellect, Dr. Marcotty helped me to choose the surgery I had been afraid of my entire life. Diagnosed with esotropia (strabismus) at age 4, I spent a lifetime hiding, covering my eyes, and dodging the camera, and feeling hollow when people would tell me I was pretty-- because strabismus is a very obvious physical condition. Dr. Marcotty gave me my eyes and my vision back. The outcome and the surgery was exactly as he said it would be, and his compassionate nature was stunning. He never minimized my feelings and always allayed my fears. He is the best opthomologist I have ever had-- and, in 45 years of dealing with esotropia, I have had many! I will always be grateful for Dr. Marcotty for this priceless gift he gave me.… And now I'll be rocking my sunglasses to rock them, not to hide my eyes!

My daughter has seen daughter Dr. Marcotty since we were told she needed glasses 6 years ago. He is excellent and I have refused to switch doctors when we moved 5 years ago and drive 45 minutes to an hour for his services.

He's the only Ophthalmologist for children that I would ever recommend. He is hard to get to schedule but worth the piece of mind.

Dr. Marcotty has been my daughter's pediatric opthamologist for over ten years and I cannot recommend him enough. His bedside manner with my shy daughter is exemplary. He spends time putting her at ease and always takes time to answer any questions I have. Thanks to his surgery and treatment, she is now able to only wear contacts.
