Dr. Andrei Ion Serbanescu, MD

I also went for migraines I just started having a year ago and pain so severe it was interfering with my daily life. He gave me yet another migraine medication and didn't even try to act like a normal human being. He interrupted every word I said. I was trying to explain what I've been going through for the past year and why I might be having this pain, which is from a bad neck and spine, and he told me I needed to see a psychiatrist. He was rude and condescending and didn't think that my medical history or background was important. I have a structural problem, not a mental one. He has the worst bedside manner of ANY doctor I've ever met and I'm a nurse so have met a lot of doctors.

I have been seeing Dr. Serb at the MS clinic of Atlanta for 12 years. Before that I was seeing a local neurologist in Rome. He basically didn't have a clue what he was doing. I had a very bad flare up and was blind and paralyzed. I was sent via ambulance to Emory hospital where Dr. Serb was on call. He immediately recognized what was going on and put me on the correct treatment. I am a nurse and I worked with a lot of doctors. Dr. Serb is very personable and has amazing bedside manner. We have had a lot of laughs and he has comforted me while I cried. I recently was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He gave me his cell number, he has answered so many question I have had and even got me into see a neurosurgeon much quicker than originally scheduled. I wish I could give him 10 stars! Love him!!

This physician is a arrogant condescending dismissive jerk. He was very unconcerned with my thoughts and feelings according to the plan of care. He treated me and pain as totally irrelevant. His office staff (Ann and Kim) are rude and treats you as an inconvenience. I tried to reach him for uncontrolled pain for over 72 hrs and when I finally was contacted he told to go to the ER and he would see me at my next appointment. I don't think so. I need a physician I can trust and can show compassion and concern for my health.

I went to visit him for numbness and tingling in the extremities and I had visual disturbances 2 months ago. After being rude to the medical student in the room, he progressed to being rude to me. He gave me migraine medication and wouldn't even listen to me about my extremities. I am small in stature with a BMI of 20.5. He seemed to think my problem was an eating disorder and asked me "do you eat?" He would not drop that line and did not evaluate any of my other symptoms. I wouldn't go back to him if my life really did depend on it.

I chose '5 minutes' as my "wait time", because it was the shortest amount allowed on the survey. I honestly do not think I have ever had to wait one minute beyond my appointment time. A skilled and compassionate doctor, who can also manage his staff and his time...a very remarkable combination!

My insurance has been sent to several neurologist specialist in Atlanta over the last 10 years. I have suffered from severe migraines and extreme pain. Dr. Serbanescu will be, has been, and forever more be the best specialist I've ever known. His bedside manner far exceeds my expectations of what I was expecting. He is caring, loving and overall compassionate to my health issues. He always returns my phone calls when I have questions or concerns. His methods of treatment are impeciable and without a doubt I can't imagine having a more blessed angel of mercy on my side. Thank for everything!!!
