Dr. Andrew Jay Adelson, MD

I have been seeing Dr Adelson for over 30 years. He is a concerned and warm physician, and a good listener and communicator. His patience was particularly notable in his treatment of my elderly mother-in-law. I would--and often do--recommend him whole-heartedly!

I have been a patient of Dr. Adelson's for over 20 years. He is an extremely competent doctor and has performed several operations on my eyes. I suffered with glaucoma for several years but do not have to take drops now due to his successful operations. My eye pressure is below average in each eye thanks for Dr. Adelson

I called to reschedule my appointment with Dr. Adelson. Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best doctors in Washington, DC. However, the problem lies on the staff. First call I did today 8/31, the reception put me on hold for 7 mins.; I called back then again on hold for 15 mins., someone picked up the phone and hang up. Again I called, then got a voice mail saying the Office is CLOSED and to call back the next business day. I just don't believe it!!! I waited more than 20 mins... just for this...

Doctor was great. Staff was rude.

I have been going to Dr. Adelson for years and the only problem I ever had was in getting the bill in a timely manner.

He is very professional and thorough and considerate and takes time to answer questions and explain conditions. I consider myself fortunate to have him for my eyecare provider.

I've been a patient for 20 years. Have never had a problem.He's personable, efficient and diagnosis has always been on target. My experience is an annual visit, I've had no major (or minor) vision problems -- so it's routine. Office staff has changed over the years, but all in all I'd say, service is good.I've never had a protracted wait and no bad experiences.

Horrendous. The first time that I went -- he provided me with the wrong prescription (based on a reading of my old glasses). I switched doctors for a while -- but stupidly returned when I had an eye problem -- and needed to find someone quickly who would accept my new insurance. He misdiagnosed my problem -- and then charged me for the follow up. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for eye care.
