Dr. Andrew J Brenner, MD

While receiving treatment this weekend, I needed to change the orders that my physician had prescribed as there was a huge oversight. I asked Dr Brenner, the on-call physician, to take a look at my case and to contact my doctor. he told me he didnt have the time to look at my case (mind you while i was laying in a hospital bed) and that it wouldn't be 'prudent' for him to take the time to review my case as he had other patients to tend to. I also heard him yelling at the nurse in the hallway ahead of walking into my room screaming he wasn't changing orders - this is all before he had even spoken to me. His medical advice also was uninformed and inaccurate (It's clear to me he wasn't use to patient who were competent in their own illnesses) The man was rude, annoyed and had no time or energy to actual put quality of care first - he was focused on the path of least resistance, despite the outcome for his patient.

Dr. Brenner is never available and does not return phone calls even when the Pt makes clear that the concern is pressing or important. Despite being in a high stakes field, he does not come accross and compassionate or caring, and the fact that he is generally unavailable leaves one feeling alone and even more scared. I would recommend this doctor to no one.
