Dr. Chang is amazing, when my Dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer he did further exploritory surgery to 100% determine if the tumor had invaded the liver or not. It HAS not and he moved my Dad's tumor board review up to this Friday instead of the 11th because he is now a candidate for removal. He has been such a great doctor to us and has listened and heard each one of us.

Dr. Chang's staff were great setting appointments and quick to respond to any concerns I had. Contrary to other posters here I found Dr. Chang to be patient, compassionate, and warm. He was supportive even though I was still smoking at time of initial visit, where others had been very condescending. He had a great bedside manner and a sense of humor. The doctor was very straight forward and thorough in explaining what to expect in OR and possible complications. Also explained recovery well. I highly recommend this doctor and UMHS !

Becarful of Dr Chang talking to people not your HIPA form. He also no bedside manner. Once he makes up his mind he will not help you. He wasted my time and money.

Dr. Chang did my mother's surgery for her Esophageal cancer. He made her really feel at ease despite the seriousness of the situation. He was straight forward with information and facts, never beating around the bush, and always giving all scenerio's in debth. The way he dealt with her and our family during her stay at UofM was top notch. Now 8 months later, she is still improving every day. And we all credit Dr. Chang.
