Dr. Timothy Louis Frankel, MD

While my gall bladder problems were obvious to most, no one would proceed to remove it it. Not only did Dr. Frankel see the true problem, he acted to fix it and I truly thank God for him and his staff. The VA simply could not "see" my gall bladder due to it's (now) apparent "sludge covering" that kept it hidden from view when Xrays, other methods to do so failed. This went on for 8 months at hospitals here and in FL (VA and civilian). At last, Dr. Frankel and staff decided to go ahead and schedule surgery. I was told that this was the worst gall bladder situation he had ever seen - rotted, covered with more than 100 stones (including surrounding organs), more than half disintegrated. Surgery was over 2 hours - and they got it out. Now, as I recover using pain pills nearly outlawed, I recovering at home and grateful as each day passes with the pain gradually subsiding. The lacroscopic effort was attempted but not possible due to the serious deteriation of the GB, so… Open Surgery was necessary. Right now I have the ugliest belly in MI, but so thankful that the pain is slowly going away, as I sparingly use the prescribed pain killers. I haven't the words to adequately express my sincere gratitude. After all this time, I have a clear shot at a pain free life style. Thank you, Dr. Frankel. Thank you.
