Dr. Andrew Jon Chernack, MD

Horrible man.

Dr. Chernack is one in a million physicians that people just pray to get. Not only is he absolutely thorough in his examinations and review of patients but he also has amazing bedside manner that you just can’t teach in medical school. His gentle demeanor, eye contact, ability to listen and validate are just some of the attributes that make him great. We ( my son & I ) have been his patients for over 10 years and I am so grateful we have him as our family physician. After everything we have been through over the last 10 years, and how supportive Dr. Chernack has been through it all, “ Thank You” doesn’t seem to articulate how grateful we are to have him in our lives.

Dr Chernack is very experienced and knowledgeable. He assesses your symptoms and describes the possible causes and outcomes. In my 25 years as his patient, his diagnosis has always been correct. He is very reassuring and offers a range of solutions to fit your situation.

Dr. Chernak desperately needs to exhibit more professionalism and empathy towards his patients. He was insensitive when communicating test results even when they were inconclusive. Turns out that there wasn't anything to worry about but Dr Chernak made it seem it was life threatening. You shouldn't scare patients until you are SURE that there is a real issue. Afterwards, he failed to follow up, even after knowing the damage he caused. I call that negligent and inhumane. Good doctors follow up with their patients and show that they care about their progress, dr Chernak does not.

He is a nice guy but getting an appointment seems like pulling teeth

I am very impressed with Dr. Chernack. He answers all your questions very thoroughly, and doesn't rush you in and out like other doctor offices I have been to in the past. He listens to concerns. Very good Dr. Totally recommend him.
