Dr. Andrew E Farber, DO

I couldn't move my hand for more than a week and CityMD suggested I see Dr Andrew Farber because he was in network with my health insurance. I called to book the appointment, but asked if they participated in my health insurance. They took my information and said yes. When I arrived to my appointment I asked again, the receptionist if they participated in my health insurance, and she curtly cut me off and said rolling her eyes, "Yes, yes we do." She took my health insurance card and my license to scan/photocopy. Dr Farber looked at the X-Ray and said he did not know what was wrong with my hand. I asked if it was arthritis and he said no. Then Dr Farber suggested I buy OTC arthritis cream, Voltaren. I received a bill in the mail claiming I owe the whole amount of the bill. Turns out they did not apply my health insurance to the bill. I called up and asked them to apply it. They applied it finally and my health insurance lists him as out of network. It turns out two people lied to me… about taking my health insurance and on top of that I never received help for my hand. I wish they didn't lie to me. It is incredibly mean to do that to people. Not everyone can afford to pay exorbitant medical bills. At least tell patients the truth. I would have never booked an appointment with Dr Farber, he wasted my time and money. This behavior is repulsive. I hate him and the people who work for him. It is so incredibly mean to put a patient through that. It is unprofessional and greedy.

I CAN NOT SUFFICIENTLY EXPRESS WHAT A FANTASTIC GENTLEMAN DR. FARBER IS. HE HAS BEEN THERE FOR ME IN A HEART BEAT.
