Exceptionally well informed and experienced dr.

Dr Gordon is the most comprehensively informed doctor I've ever dealt with. He is down-to-earth, intelligent, compassionate, and has a gentle manner along with a quiet sense of humor. When my husband was dying, Dr Gordon came to the intensive care unit at my request (right away, I might add) to help me make the difficult decision about withdrawing life support. He gave me quiet, strong support at exactly the right moment. The waiting room wait can be far too long - but with a busy practice and too many people needing help, I'm not sure what can be done. Staff, although extremely busy, is friendly and courteous - a pleasure to interact with. Also - an actual, live person answers the phone; at no point are you ever left trying to communicate with a machine by pushing buttons. It's wonderful!

Doctor quality is great. Support / front office and telephone support is average at best. Wait time is ridiculous...I should charge him. Quality of care is great when you see him.

Andrew Gordon is the most caring and attentive doctor I've ever known. And I've known a few. He always takes his time to listen to me and knows everything about my history to add to what is going on. He does keep on me about weight and such but that is only because he really cares. To address the other reviewer...if Dr Gordon was angry, he most likely had a very good reason to be! He is usually very even keeled and caring. And he is a great diagnostician. I trust him completely...so much so I have transferred my two daughters into his care!

I, my husband and 2 of my children go to dr. Gordon, i have about 20 years of going to him. i have always found him very professional and very caring and he has always stayed on my case to stop smoking, get ob check-ups etc. it has worked so far except for the smoking. i don't think you could find a much better doctor than Dr. Gordon. I now live on the Eastern Shore but still go back 120 miles to see this doctor, that should speak for itself.

I could hear him ranting in angry in the hallway (over something unrelated to me) before he came in to see me. I think he took his irritation out on me when he became vindictive towards me. There was no doubt he was looking to "screw" me. I kept thinking "I need a new Doc". My read on him is that this is a fair weather Doc. . . if he thinks you are not with his program or if he is mad about something unrelated to you, he will not lift a finger for you. I worried that he may not be there for me if the chips were down.Because of his anger, he did not take the time to check out a medical issue which turned out to be serious. He dismissed it under some umbrella diagnosis (which was wrong, ofcourse). Remember, if in doubt, escalate the issue to a specialist yourself. Clinically, I think he may be a good Doc for "wellness" care. . . if you have some medical problems, I would recommend finding a different Doc.
