Dr. Andrew Rodney Gottesman, MD

Dr. Gottesman is a kind and capable physician. That being said, the office is managed so poorly, it becomes frustrating to deal with this practice. God forbid they ever answer the phone or respond to an inquiry in a timely fashion, regardless of whether you contact them through the patient portal, as they strongly suggest you do. And should you ever need a prescription refill, it goes neglected for days on end, even when the pharmacy makes multiple attempts to request the refill on your behalf. The failure on the part of this office staff to respond to any type of contact whatsoever, is so unprofessional, it makes it very hard to recommend Dr. Gottesman or want to continue using him as your Gastroenterologist.

I GOT TO MEET HIM UNDER VERY UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES. HOWEVER, HES THE BEST GI DR IVE EVER HAD!! HE WAS AMAZING AT THE HOSPITAL TO ME AND WITH ME AS WELL AS HIS STAFF. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER AND CARE AND TALK THROUGH IS SOMETHING IVE NEVER EXPERIENCED. HES A REMARKABLE DR AND MAN. I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN TO CONTINUE MY CARE. Among the best doctor we've ever met.

WELL NEED TO HAVE MYSELF CHECKED OUT AGAIN. DR. GOTTESMAN USED TO TAKE MEDICARE/MEDICAID I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN IN MY 70'S. SO NURSE CALLS ME AND TELLS ME THAT MY APPOINTMENT IS CANCELED DUE TO HIM NOT ACCEPTING MEDICAID..DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HE EVEN TAKES MEDICARE. SAD THAT WE WORK ALL OUR LIVES LOSE OUR LIVES DUE TO DOCTORS WITH SUCH EXPERIENCE NOT ACCEPTING OUR LOW INCOME LIFESTYLES THAT HAPPENS DUE TO OTHER HEALTH ISSUES IN FAMILY THAT CAUSED IT. HAD TO PAY OVER 50,000 FOR MY WIFE BRAIN SURGERY 12 YRS AGO.

This doctor saved my life. He is non-judgmental, funny, and very caring! I would not see any other GI! It can be hard to get an appointment, generally 4 to 6 weeks out unless it's an emergency - but the excellent care is well worth the wait!

I received exellent care from Dr. Gottesman. My diagnosis was not common, but he was persistent enough to reach the correct diagnosis and recommend a cure.

Dr. Gottesman is a rare breed in that he always has time for his patients. He is extremely capable and clearly puts great thought and effort into treating his patients. The bonus in all of this is that he is incredibly kind, never condescending. His approachability makes him so well suited to deal with the type of chronic and difficult illnesses he is faced with. With him on my side, my disease, despite it's flares, seems manageable. Highly recommend.
