Dr. Andrew Mark Guzman

I was "floored" by the treatment received today and have complained to the State Medical Board.

Did a cholesterol test without telling me or the lab it needed to be a fasting test (which it does), and then based off the results told me I was a "stroke risk" and tried to scare me into going on medication immediately. Thankfully my chiropractor was more knowledgeable and redid the tests at the same lab as a fasting test and my cholesterol is perfectly normal. Also tried to proscribe my father-in-law a drug that was contraindicated by another one he was taking. Dread to think what damage either set of drugs could have done! This has to be one of the most dangerous Dr's I've ever encountered anywhere! He couldn't be bothered to take the take to look at the notes or write up the lab request properly. The next time I went because I had an abscess the staff cancelled my appointment. They let me check in, then left me sitting in reception for 30 minutes before they told me they'd cancelled my appointment. I had to go to ER to get treated and get the antibiotics I needed. Unbelievably… unimpressed!

Dr. Guzman is one of the most caring and considerate doctors. He is very thorough and and spends time with his patients.

Dr. Guzman and his office staff are wonderful. They are very responsive to your needs and get you in, out and on with your day. I would definitely recommend him.

Not only did this doctor fail me, his practice did as well. Nightmare experience. Bad billing practices and overall arrogance and carelessness when genuine kindness would have been the best medicine. A capable doctor could have put me at ease and been more professional; instead, I was manipulated by this touchy feely man who did not respect patient boundaries emotionally or physically; my belief is that he was also an emotional vampire; felt unsafe and it was a wake up call about Pinnacle and HCA as well; the higher ups brushed off my formal complaints and did not do a thorough investigation into his abuse of of me as his patient. Incident involving irregular heartbeat from meds he prescribed and he did not follow up in a timely manner; Very dramatic action taken where he blamed the patient for his negligence. Tempted to give the reports to the media so he doesn't ever have another opportunity to do this to someone else.

Dr Guzman really cares about his patients. I don't feel like I'm being rushed. I'm not a fan of Drs. They make me nervous. But he is nice and cares about what you have to say.

So nice, friendly and very personable Dr.Guzman is very professional easy to talk to.I seen him twice so far and he is very thorough with is questions and seems very knowledgable. Seems like a wonderful Dr.and takes time to explain things. Recommend him highly to anyone.â?º

When I called the office and explained my problem they worked me in the same day. I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. Dr Guzman listens and pays close attention to your concerns and explains the recommended course of treatment. I am very pleased with Dr Guzman and the staff at Pinnacle Medical Center.

Dr. Guzman is probably the best doctor I've seen. He has a wonderful personality, a gentle and caring bedside manner and is as thorough as you'd want your doctor to be. He is well-informed and makes a point of understanding the specifics of why you're a patient. He will make as much as he can of every visit and will try to deal with as much as he can. I can't say enough good things about this doctor. He is wonderful.
