Dr. Andrew J Haas, DDS

I was one of those children in the waiting room of Andrew J. Haas mentioned by the poster below during the 1960's and early 1970's. I still suffer from the treatment received at the hands of Andrew J. Haas both mentally and physically. His instability was legion especially to a child accustomed to rational adults. I personally witnessed Andrew J. Haas driving employees and other children to tears with overwhelming nastiness, sarcasm, bully tactics, threats, sullen body language and facial expressions, and much more that I'd have preferred to forget at age 67 ... but can't. Physically, Andrew J. Haas assisted in the ruination of my teeth, insisting that they be placed too close together hampering flossing and maintenance and causing other types of dental malfunctions based upon that arrangement. Andrew J. Haas survives at 94 years of age and I hope he is aware of the miseries he caused to innocent children for money.

I saw Dr. Andrew Haas in the 1960's. There should be a survivor's group for the kids who were patients of this man. My stomach was in knots days before visits, in anticipation of the fury that he would unleash at me and the other frightened kids in his production line of an exam room. In view of his absolutely terrifying temper, he never should have been permitted to work with children. I hope he treated his sons better than his patients, and that they have a gentle "bedside" manner with their patients. I ended up removing my braces myself after 5 years of this man's torture. Fortunately, my teeth are now fine, but when I see a dentist, I warn them about the fear of dentists I developed in the chair of Andrew Haas. He had no basic human decency. let alone empathy or compassion.

I was a patient as a teenager in the late sixties when my family lived in the Falls area. Haas had anger management issues and belittled staff and patients alike. In today’s world he would be disbarred. Hopefully his sons are better.

I received orthodontic treatment from Dr. Andrew Haas in the 60's. I, personally, never experienced any hostility from him. He was always very nice and professional. Today, as an adult, I am very pleased with my beautiful smile and I know many other former patients who feel the same. I was told Dr. Andrew retired 13 years ago and his three sons are very good and well liked by their patients.

about 1975 I was in my 20's a full grown woman and Andrew Haas Sr, tried to intimidate me with this low voice threats, I ignore him, I did what he had told me to do, I ate nothing sticky, brush and took care of my braces,, I saw small children throwing up and fainting in the chair, when my family asked me If I would recommend this man, I said H**l no, I even told my regular dentist who I was seeing, and he said which one, I said Andrew Haas Sr. he frowned and said, I whish you would of picked another orthodontist, I hope by 2019 this dentist is now fully retired, and his sons take after the uncle .

I was a victim of this man's orthodontist father in the early 1960's ; finally graduating the practice in 1973 with the sole impression that the man hated all forms of humanity, particularly small children who often left in tears. He also drove some of the staff to the same outcome with his anger and lack of personal control. If the current A.J. Haas is an angry man, I know why ; nurture and nature.

I had the misfortune of being one of Dr. Haas' 'patients' (torture subjects?) for 8 long years. I wonder what motivates a grown, professional, successful human being to take out his anger on children? what sick trigger, what horrible event causes a person to believe that screaming insults into the face of a child is acceptable in any way shape or form? How deep is the cowardice in a man that he would do this? He did. A lot. Not just to me for 'infractions' that were minor at best, but mostly meaningless. A loose band on your braces is a reason to lose one's sh** on a 12 year old kid? Really? The best part, ahem, was being in the waiting room hearing his verbal abuse-that created a fantastic environment. I would assume he's retired now. Not soon enough. The weird thing is, anyone and everyone who was ever under his 'care' says the same thing I am, and no one did anything about it. Sad. I had to give him one star, although that's an insult to one star dentists.

Dr. Haas, destroyed my son. I say this because after 30 years, my son teeth are rotting in his mouth due to the the PTSD he has because the pain inflicted on him by this so called dentist. He tortured his patient, told them to shut up, quit crying, your a baby. I paid for him to do this. I don't know how he sleeps at night. My son can't he is crawling on the floor in pain, because his teeth are so bad, and can't now even go to a dentist to get them pulled. Because every dentist is Dr. Andew Haas to him. War is not the only thing that causes PTSD. How many others are out there? I hope they speak up. A class action suit needs to brought against him. Joan Bible, fka Joan Powell
