Paid $200 for a consultation waited 3 1/2 hours to see Doctor Who looked at my images asked me where I lived and then said go get more test done and come back got completely no answers and he just walked out the door wash experience in my 60 years

My entire experience with Dr. Hecht and his medical colleagues and team has been fantastic. I am now close to 9 weeks post microdiscectomy surgery and so far so good. Surgery went smoothly and all post-surgery check-ins have been good. The team has been great at answering my questions in a timely manner and always friendly. First class team and experience.

This surgeon did not examine me talked a mile a minute and wanted to do posterior 3 level neck fusion. I ran and boy I'm glad I did other nyc spine guys said absolutely not. Be careful

Dr. Andrew Hecht and his team have been a total blessing to me and my family. I try with my case to carry out a conservative treatment before suggesting surgery until it is absolutely necessary. He remained outstanding, affordable, friendly, willing to answer all my questions and has a wonderful team that makes you feel fully supported. His surgery and postoperative team is spectacular. completely recommended.

Complete waste of time returning to see Hecht for a progressive and painful problem that is compromising my function. He failed to examine me; failed to test my strength or ROM; asked nothing of me; failed to review my scans with me; failed to discuss my injuries which are debilitating and compromising my daily life; failed to order any tests o scans of his own; no recommendations for follow up care ... all after waiting 45 min alone in the exam room. Just sent me on my way telling me to continue what I've been doing. He couldn't escape the exam room fast enough almost as is he had an urgent need to void on the toilet. Extremely unprofessional, disappointing and unwarranted. The waiting room for the entire office was a pathetic scene of severely injured and harried patients and staff. It looked like a battle ground on an open war field - utter confusion, noisy, disorganized, with so many patients like me desperately needing care and hurting terribly. I can only hope others were not… thrown to the curb as I was.

Dr. Hecht and his staff were amazing. I had multiple opinions and he was the only surgeon that recommended not to do a fusion (rods and screws). His office is amazing. They handled all of my insurance issues. His office called me back with any questions I had as I approached surgery. Needless to say I was VERY nervous but they are meticulous. I can’t believe the care I received and now, I have my life back. I can’t thank him enough.

I have very bad scoliosis and slight kyphosis so I sought out Dr. Hect from hearing people recommend him. I couldn't be more upset and befuddled with the treatment I got from not only him but his office. I got 2 MRIs done, 1 on my neck and 1 on my spine to ensure that there was nothing detrimental to my health. After my MRIs I was spoken to for 1 minute by Dr. Hect telling me that I will hear back from him with the results within the week and then he walked out of the room. After a week went by I tried calling on the next Friday (only day he is at the office) no response, after 2 weeks of not hearing back from anyone I became infuriated and requested them to send me the results so that I can bring them to another doctor to be evaluated. I encourage you to go somewhere else if you are looking for a doctor who is personable, has time for his/her patients, cares for his patients and someone who you intend to go to for as long as you have health issues. Truly disappointing experience.

Dr Hecht surgery on my back twice and gave me back my life. I couldn't walk 3 steps before my first surgery. After the second surgery I was not only able to walk but I was able to return to work, travel and play with my grandchildren. He is a fabulous doctor, very caring and concerned about his patients. I would recommend and have recommended Dr. Hecht to many people and they have all been extremely happy.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hecht! My husband had chronic pain for almost a year with migraines every single day. We 6 different doctors before we found Dr Hecht and he diagnosed the problem within the first half hour of meeting him. He not only did a great job on my husbands surgery, but the surgery started on time and every time we go to his office for follow ups, we are never kept waiting. Dr Hecht is always direct and honest with us and lets us know exactly what is going on. He has a great positive energy and I cannot thank him enough for fixing my husbands spine. He now feels better than ever and it is all because of Dr. Hecht. Would highly recommend him for any spinal or nerve issues!

I shouldn't have surgery, he did it anyway when I was 16 years old promising that I would recover 100% and never have issues with it. It is now 5 years later and i am in pain just as bad as before the surgery and he never answers our calls or write a prescription for badly need physical therapy.
