Dr. Heslin, DO is the best emergency room doctor I have ever experienced. This doctor's holistic training gave him the skills necessary to perform an Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment on my 7 year old son who had been writhing in agony over several hours due to pain in his stomach. After all the tests and labs came back inconclusive, the doctor came in and examined my son and then performed the treatment to release his tight nerve clusters that doctor suspected could have been over-reacting due to their tightness and causing my son's intense stomach discomfort. Fairly quickly, I could see my son's demeanor ease and I couldn't help but smile. Finally, something was making him feel better. In all my years seeing various doctors, I have never seen a doctor take the time to perform a treatment that would actually fix a problem. So often, it is medications or further specialists, etc. that are referred. Dr. Heslin was even generous with his time to answer my questions. I could tell he was… also invested in my son's well-being. He cared very much to try to get us answers and help my son feel better. I hope I don't have to come back to the emergency room any time soon, but if I do, I am so very happy to know we have an amazing doctor on staff! I hope he stays with Tehachapi Adventist for many years! We need more good doctors like him-- doctors with the Osteopathic (DO) training and compassion. Thank you.

Went Tehachapi ER tonight. Dr John Heslin was the doc for the evening. Having been in healthcare management I scrutinize healthcare providers and facilities. I found dr Heslin professional and knowledgeable. I trusted his decision making skills. In addition, the entire staff clinical staff to security guard to be caring and excel in each of their skills.

Dr. Heslin came out to the lobby to talk to us and apologize for the wait. He helped us understand the labs and xray and was direct with us which we liked. He is passionate and cares about his patients
