Dr. Andrew Patrick Higgins, MD

I had been considering a hair transplant for quite sometime, so I finally decided to just do it. After much research, I chose to drive 4 hours to Bend for the procedure, because of Dr. Higgins’ expertise and professionalism. He also uses the most modern robotics in the industry, for optimal results. It has been two months after surgery and everything looks wonderful. Not even any shock loss, and I think this is due to the PRP that Dr. Higgins began the surgery with, and his effective follow up advice. On top of all of this, he’s just the nicest guy. The perfect blend of competence and bedside manner.

Dr. Higgins is quite simply the most caring, thoughtful, attentive physician/surgeon anyone could ever hope to find! He takes the time to listen and explains things in such a visual manner that you feel you have a full understanding of what to expect and what's 'next'. From the first consultation to surgery to post op his caring demeanor shines through every step of the way. If only more physicians could be like him. Dr. Higgins sets the bar for what others should aspire to be!

I've had 7 surgeries over the last 20 years and was very happy with all of the surgeons. Andy takes it a step further. He is very compassionate about your needs and health. He takes the time to LISTEN to your concerns and does a very good job to explain the surgery. I woke up from the surgery and there was a rose and a note from him and I received a personal phone call from him 2 days after surgery to see how I was doing or if I had any questions or concerns.

I've had a few surgeries over the years. Most recently, I had a inguinal hernia that required hernia surgery to repair it. I guess lifting that commercial freezer into a flat bed truck from the ground was a bad idea despite being active and fit. So I began my search, consulting with a few Bend Oregon general surgeons. I met two physicians who had only a few minutes to answer my questions before their next appointment. It was a very different experience with Dr.Higgins. He took the time to talk thru the issue, explain the cause, discuss the options, and get into the details of surgery. I immediately understood Dr. Higgins was not the average surgeon - he was grounded, warm, patient, and down to earth. He made me feel at ease, and confident in what was to come. I would highly recommend Dr. Higgins to anyone. He is kind, relaxed and informative. He takes all the time that is needed to explain issues and make his patients feel as though they count. A rare find!
