Dr. Andrew Y Hou, MD

I have gone to Dr. Hou over several years for lower back pain management. He has always has been very helpful with his opinions and suggestions. He takes as long as time as needed for clarifications, questions, and answers. He is always positive and professional. I highly recommend him spine related concerns.

Dr Hou listens to his patients & works hard to find the best solution for their spine problem. I was also impressed with the way he educates his patients about their diagnosis. He is patient & doesn’t make you feel rushed. All of these qualities are so rare in today’s healthcare system!

Dr Hou is a great doctor. He listens to your concerns, addresses all questions, has a very pleasant demeanor, and is effective at addressing pain management issues. I went to Dr. Hou with neck and back pain. He was able to inject a steroid into those places and minimize my pain going forward.

I have been going to Dr. Hou for years for treatment with my sciatica. He takes time during the appointments to listen to what is bothering me, then shows me with a skeleton where the nerve is being pinched and what he can do help relieve the pain. He is kind and compassionate. However don’t use Contra Costa surgery center, they are not nearly as good as Fremont Surgery Center!

I have been seeing Dr. Hou for almost 2 years. He is always clear to understand, he makes sense of complex issues and follows through with what he says. I appreciate him and the team at Golden State tremendously, the staff at the surgery center in San Ramon is amazing! This is my first time going through this so knowing what’s going to happen helps me trust the process.They are always on time and give me as much time as I need to get the best care I can get! I was referred by another orthopedist. After some X-rays and a brief outpatient procedure I am back to normal activity. My back pain is gone.
