He was rude, condescending and arrogant. He showed little concern for my well being. He frightened me so much I backed out of him doing any work on me.

I met Dr Kassir 1 year ago when my colon perforated. He saved my life. He is very patient answers all my questions . His office staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needed a colo rectal surgeon

Please, please, PLEASE do not go here! After finding cancer and having emergency surgery by Dr. Kassir, I went through chemo/radiation to shrink my tumor. I went back to Dr. Kassir to have the tumor removed and without getting an MRI to see how much my tumor had shrank, he gave me devastating, life altering news that I would need a permanent colostomy. When I started to cry, he told me I should see a psychiatrist, got up, walked out of the room and left the door open! Not wanting to accept his opinion, I got a second, third, fourth and fifth. ALL of who first said I need an MRI, then after I got one, ALL of who disagreed with Dr. Kassir. I am happy to report that I had my surgery with one of the other drs. The tumor was successfully removed, I did not need a colostomy and I’m doing great. Had I allowed Dr. Kassir to do my surgery, I would have a very poor quality of life. My career would have been ruined and my health would have been severely compromised. It’s truly… disgusting that a Dr would/could care so little about a human life they are suppose to be saving.

I would strongly advise against anyone going to see Dr. Kassir. I am very sick with intestinal problems and definitely needed to see a doctor in his field. I have been told by other doctors that I need to be seen by someone in his field. He was very short and dismissive to the point of being rude. He also said to me as by reading by the reviews has been said before “ why are you here, I’m a colon surgeon”? This was said by him as I was trying to explain my history which is definitely related. I was not only disappointed but very let down as I had to wait quite a while for the actual appointment. I would not recommend this doctor to my enemy if had one.

Dr. Kassir was the most thorough, honest, professional and kind surgeon with whom I consulted. He came highly-recommended, as did the others, but his demeanor made me feel more comfortable going forward with facing a serious, but life-saving surgery. The fact that he is also highly-skilled using the robotic method, which is less-invasive, as well as teaches other surgeons how to perform surgery this way, gave me an additional assurance that he was the best surgeon for me. As an aside, while in the hospital recovering from surgery, several nurses and hospital staff came into my room giving me glowing reports of how wonderful of a surgeon he is and that his patients love him... and I am happy to report being among that group of fortunate patients.

In the last 7 years I have had 2 occasions to visit Dr. Kassir. I was very pleased with both visits. Doctor Kassir has a very pleasant manner and his staff follows his example. I feel very confident in his ability and have had excellent results with the care provided. I have referred several friends to him and will continue to do so knowing that they will receive excellent care.

Was sent to this office with a Stat Referral , upon my first phone call to make an appointment the front desk woman was very short with me, seemed as if my calling was a burden, and had a poor attitude, giving benefit of the doubt I told her who I was, what I needed, and why I was being sent to her. After a breif hold she came and told me to go to the emergency room, which I have already done several times for this problem in the last 2 weeks. As I attempted to further explain why I needed their assistance she was adamant to cut me off and send me away. Suffering with a problem that all the laxitives in the world havent been able to solve, and none of the ER doctors Ive seen have been able to do anything about as Im constantly told to seek out a Colerectal Surgeon, and thus upon finding one Im thrown back into the pit of hopelessness filled with the pain, discomfort, and out right desperation for help being denied without even the willingness to see me. It is my personal and strong… opinion that these are horrible uncaring people and are only in the medical field for the money. If helping people was even a small goal here they would have heard me out, but seeing as the doctor was in the background of the phone call dismissing me so fast, and so unwilling to hear my pleas for help, I can only assume it to be because of my poor insurance. So by all means, If your rich, Im sure they'll treat you right, but if your middle class struggling and find yourself in real pain, no releif to be found within 3-6 hospital visits and your primary care and numerous ER doctors tell you seek out a professional in this field, DO NOT PICK THIS ONE.

The first thing Dr. Kassir ever said to me was â??Why are you here?â?? For a moment I was taken aback. However, I quickly realized that this was an excellent first question. My response told him where my head was and what my expectations were. He explained the diagnosis, the proposed surgery (a laparoscopic, robot-assist colon resection), and what to expect from the surgery. I had previously written an entire page of questions to be asked. Most of these were answered during his presentation. He then asked if I had additional questions. I asked them and received direct answers to all. Dr. Kassir again asked if I had additional questions and was prepared to take whatever time would be required. I particularly appreciated the doctorâ??s respect for my time , since he did not waste it on banal conversations about weather, sports, etc. At the hospital, Dr. Kassir and/or an assistant visited me each day. I had no problems to report. I had a very quick recovery after the resection. I was… able to leave the hospital after a few days, and have had no problems since returning home. I highly recommend Dr. Kassir as a surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Kassir by my gastroenterologist in 2014 as I had been having intestinal issues unresolved by my gastro doctor. I tried to explain my problems and he looked at me and said, "I'm a surgeon, why are you here? I was in tears when I left his office. In 2015 I had a life threatening illness with Acute Diverticulitis and multiple abcesses. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I'm so thankful I had great Doctors that pulled me through this without surgery. Needless to say, I would never darken his door again. If you can't help, you can at least be compassionate. This Doctor was totally rude!!
