Dr. Andrew James Kokkino, MD

Had Laminectomy surgery back in 2014 where L4, L5 bone was removed and S1 was grinned away as well. To this day I still need epidural shots into these regions for pain relief and my Sciatic nerve on my right side is still a problem. My quality of life has not improved but has rather gotten worse. I regret ever having such surgery. It did not improve me but it seems to have made it worse.

One of the best doctors I've ever worked with! Dr Kokkino is knowledgeable and competent. Further, he is an exceptional communicator. He took an unusually long time with me at our first appointment. I felt cared for and heard. He kindly explained all of my imaging and made certain I understood my condition. He patiently listened to my questions and answered them all in a way that I understood. He was extremely professional, yet very friendly and approachable. I completely trust his diagnosis and treatment plan. I feel very fortunate to have found this doctor. Well worth the appointment wait time!

Had back surgery in 2004 After surgery woke up and went home before seeing Dr.Kokkino. He called me at home to see how I was doing. I am still going good 12 years later.

Dr. Kokkino is a wonderful doctor. He is very patient when he explains things to you. He is a very sweet man.

I always felt I could ask anything and he was not bothered even if it was a repeat. Not only did he make me feel like I was family but I wanted to make him a part of my family. My surgery turned out to be much harder than he anticipated. He dealt with my family members who were waiting, with me before and after surgery and made it akk seem like a normal day in my world.

Dr. Kokkino has been an angel when it came to treating me. He has done a neck fusion along with my 4th back fusion. I have had excellent results and given me my life back. I tell him that he is my ANGEL and that I couldn't ask for a more caring Dr. He treats you like your part of his family and after having 4 back surgeries that is so very important. Thank you Dr. Kokkino you truly are my Angel.
