Dr. Andrew Keane Lynch, MD

Dr. Andrew Lynch may have practice medicine well and helped many people during his clinical years. Unfortunately Dr. Lynch has chosen he would prefer to be a pivotal factor in the denial of medical care to those who need it. Dr. Lynch currently works as a Medical Director for Evicore and gets the power to decide who's treatment is or isn't denied. Dr. Lynch took a position, that was created to optimize profit for insurance companies, over clinical practice. Dr. Andrew Lynch, if you ever read this, please know the burden you are creating in the medical field for providers, administrators and especially for patients.

As the Associate Medical Director for Evicore Insurance, Andrew Lynch is denying coverage Physical Therapy for a young 15-year-old female after her ACL repair. She has progressed well and is now 3 months out from her surgery. Typical PHYSICAL THERAPY protocols, even on Evicore's website recommend at least 5 months of Physical Therapy after ACL repair for proper return to sport. In his denial letter, Dr. Lynch states "Skilled treatment is not needed to only improve your strength. Skilled treatment is not needed for sports training." Clearly Dr. Lynch is not familiar with standards for Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy following ACL reconstruction. If he is unable to correctly approve Physical Therapy for standard ACL reconstruction, I have significant reservations for his judgments regarding more complicated matters.

Dr. Andrew Lynch is one of the "Best" Dr.'s at Swedish

As a patient of his for several months standing, I'd have to strongly disagree with the negative reviews. Dr. Lynch is an excellent physician and physiatrist. For months, he's consistently administered care, with remarkable thoroughness, and marked caution. With a back injury, that's much appreciated. His professional demeanor has been fully appropriate, given the I"m-in-pain setting. He's clearly reserved by nature, but that reserve has in no way adversely affected doctor/patient communication; nor the high quality care he's provided. If knowledge and skill is sought, then I'd highly recommend him as a local physiatrist.

He went over each part of my results ... and then gave me suggestions on appropriate treatment. He even went over in detail the risks associated with certain procedures." NOT "When he walked through the door and sat down I could feel his 'big personal bubble' of arrogance and self-satisfaction. When he sat down he leaned away from me instead instead of leaning in towards me. Not only did he not explain the procedure and/or suggest alternatives, he said he couldn't even say if the procedure would work. He wouldn't even tell me that this procedure would not do permanent damage to my back! I left his office feeling small. -- After researching this guy online I've decided I am not going to let this guy work on my back.

I went to see Dr. Lynch regarding some lower back pain that was becoming worse and disrupting my sleep and my daily activities. I saw the reviews online and was curious if I would have same experience. The first visit Dr. Lynch asked me what issues I was having and the level of my pain. He did a thorough examination and then ordered MRIs and X-rays to really see what was going on. I found him to be very professional, very thorough, knowledgeable and extremely informative with every step. He went over each part of my results in the second visit and then gave me suggestions on appropriate treatment. He even went over in detail the risks associated with certain procedures. I found this to be very comforting and not pushy. He gave me the information to make the appropriate choice for me. I did read the reviews about him having no bedside manner. I am not sure what exactly people would like in bedside manner but I donâ??t want a friend I want a doctor. I donâ??t need someone to tell me I am… sorry it hurts I need a doctor who listens to me and can make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr Lynch isnâ??t a â??smileyâ?? doctor but I am in pain why would I want him smiling all the time. He explained things more thoroughly to me than any doctor I have been to. He was low pressure on treatment and not pushy in what he thought I should do. I appreciate his serious nature because my pain is serious. I would recommend Dr Lynch to my family and friends and have already.

No bedside manner, apparently incapable of even smiling at pts. not willing to help me.

Exceptional diagnostician . . . very clear and concise. Did not jump to conclusions regarding treatment options but rather took a rational and thoughtful approach. Listened with respect to level of pain and how best to manage in short and longer term.

Wholeheartedly agree with the previous review. This guy should not be in medicine. I had muscle disorder on my shoulder that triggered headaches and almost listenned to him and getting a cervical spine injection. This is the worst doctor I have come across. His incompetent diag and opinion made my life a miserable one. Not all doctors are created the same. Lucky for me after him I found Dr Haq who is compassionate took time to listen and gave me the right treatment (physical therapy cortisol inject on trapezius and sustainable posture change while working) Not to mentioned he treated me like dirt when I saw him. I feel I had an obligation to inform others.

Do not go to see Dr Lynch, unless you have the best insurance in the market, maybe then he will your consider you worthy of his time, my visits with him have been the worst experience I got from a doctor, There are other very good physiatrists at Swedish, like Dr Cole and Dr Marquardt, this Dr, doesn't care and lacks of a sensitive side, and is inaccurate on his diagnostic skills.
