Dr. Andrew G Pick, DO

I was referred to Dr Andrew Pick by a friend who had a total knee replacement and wonderful results with Dr Pick. I was looking for a surgeon who would perform the pre-surgery technique called iovera. I was willing to drive the extra distance and pay the extra expense since most insurance companies will not approve this since it is new. Medicare pays for it which is funny! If i can get back to work sooner and not have to use pain medication I can’t understand why it is not covered! I met with Dr. Pick and my total knee replacement was scheduled right away. Two or more years of suffering does not pay off. There will never be a right time! U have to make time! I was very pleased with the compassion of Dr Pick and the time he took with me to explain everything that would be happening. There is a great team effort by the dr, nurses, receptionists and all personal at the Spencer Hospital. I couldn’t be happier with my results. Therapy is going great. I am ready to have my other knee done… now! Hats off to Dr. Andrew Pick and staff.

Andrew Pick told me all of my pain and inability to move my arm was in my head, supposedly just an ac sprain. Upon forcing it to move I cringed, he told me if it hurt that bad he would never want to perform surgery on me as I would not be able to tolerate the pain. I refused to leave until he would do an mri, results show a complete tear of rotator cuff and large tear in labrum. When I called to cancel appointment as I went to DMOS in des moines, (DMOS scheduled surgery right away) I told nurse Dr Pick owed me an apology. Still haven't gotten one
