Dr. Andrew J Rice, MD

It was our first consultation. He sped through it, 10 minutes! He was dismissive and simply didn't have time to listen or give a thorough exam/consultation. We were wasting his time. We tried to talk about why we were there and he said "I'm not a PCP. Your giving me too much information!" The information was balance issues, tremor/shaking, confusion and forgetfulness. That's why we were sent there. We left feeling awful and no trust in what he did say because of his horrible attitude and dismissiveness. I'd go elsewhere. We left feeling awful, I'm in tears and no answers for my husband.

I went to this doctor with severe nerve pain my face. He behaved as if I did not have a problem and he had zero desire to help me.

Took my mom to see Dr Rice he enters the room acts like we are wasting his time. Questions every thing we say. Acts like we know nothing!!! Not willing to help!! Finally agrees to get her to some testing and then we will come back after the testing. What a joke! We come back he basically washes his hands of us.. im so upset that a dr wouldn't want to help an 80 yr old woman that drops things can't remember things and needs help. Don't ever go to this rude disrespect doctor!!!!

I was referred to him regarding my hx of seizures and severe headaches that are worsening. He entered the room and before he even closed the door he said “Are you here for the seizures or headaches, because I don’t have time to go over both, I have other patients to see.” Terrible first impression. He did not care to ask about my history and over the course of the whole 15 minute appointment he rushed us through, I barely got a word in. He totally dismissed all of my issues and blamed them on “sleep apnea” even though I sleep like a baby, and stated my headaches that I’ve had for years are due to taking too much Tylenol, he totally disregarded anything that the 3 other neurologists I’ve seen have said. He comes off as a know it all, and doesn’t even have a moment or care to get to know anything about you. He stood in the open doorway while I was still asking questions as I could tell he just wanted the appointment to be done with. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional doctor… in my life. For the sake of future patients, I hope that these reviews, that he seems to have a lot of, are recognized.

I was referred to Dr. Rice for follow-up about peripheral neuropathy that my primary care provider diagnosed. My primary care provider thought Dr. Rice would do some nerve tests. Dr. Rice was uninterested and did not do anything more than my primary care provider of a pin test to confirm my neuropathy diagnosis. Dr. Rice was also insensitive, since my feet were numb, not my hands, and he stuck my hand with a pin so hard that I jumped in pain. He provided nothing more to my primary care provider than I had neuropathy. I am not going back.

I went to see him he was so hellbent trying to say my problems aren't neurological. He never listened to what I was telling him. He just said it was my blood pressure which of course is untrue. Very bad in my I needless to say I am still passing out. Now I need to see another neurologist.

I saw Andrew Rice when he was practicing in Templeton, CA. I had been diagnosed with MS for several years. After answering all of his questions and doing the WALK in the hall ways he decided I was sleep deprived and wanted to send me for several more tests. On subsequent visits and after reviewing my medical records from other doctors he did admit I did indeed have MS. But he still decides all of my problems were from sleep deprivation. Well after that third visit I decided that he needed some more patient care experience and a self check on his ego. GOOD BYE!

Insurance requested an update report. He refused!!! He said, " I'm not comfortable doing that!! Tell them to have records department do it. What doctor doesn't cooperate with the insurance? As a result, my daughter lost her insurance. If you question him, he leaves the room.

Dr. Rice dismissed my wife with Parkinson's after we dared to ask him about his qualifications. He got mad and stomped out of the room sending in an assistant to dismiss my wife to find another doctor.
