Dr. Andrew Pray Wilking, MD

I Googled and Googled to find you Dr. Wilking because I had thought about you! I am 36 and was diagnosed with JRA at age 2 . Dr. Wilking is one of the BEST Rheumatologist. He is one of the only Doctor's I remember as a child. Dr visits were hard sometimes due to the JRA but he was and still is a complete joy. Dr. Wilking if you get to read this Thank you for ALL that you did for me. Between traveling to Austin, TX and Houston, TX to service your broad scope of patients speaks volumes. Experimental drugs, surgeries, hosptial stays, you (and of course my Mom :) ) were there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are looking for a Pediatric Rheumatologist Dr. Andrew P. Wilking is the BEST in the business.

My 9 year old daughter has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and has had it for quite some time. She was constantly in pain and doctors could not find out what was wrong and we went through about 7 doctors till we got sent to Dr. Wilking he was very through and he knew as soon as I gave him her history and test results from previous dr.'s what we were facing and I can say that we will look no further he is hands down what my daughter needed when she hurts he is very concerned he calls and checks on her even when he was in hospital he called to make sure she was alright he got her on the right meds to were her jra only hurts her sometimes she is very satisfied with her doctor and so is her mamma!!!

Dr. Wilking is the best doctor we have ever seen. This review came late. He saved my boy 7-8 years ago. My boy was treated in Austin for JDM with several flare ups and showed resistance to all drugs at the time. Dr. Wilking not only treated my boy, he talk to my boy like his own child, from lifestyle, physical activities to books and inspirations. My boy graduated from high school and then from college. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Wilking for his knowledge, his experiences and his compassion.

We have been seeing Dr. Wilking for 11 years. He has done a good job with my daughter, but it is always a SERIOUS hassle to make an appt. I don't quite understand his relationship to TX Childrens, but you call his staff, they then have to find out when Dr. Wilking will be in Houston for appts, they then call TX Childrens to clear a time on the master schedule while you are on a 3 way call with them. We have been waiting over 3 weeks now just to get an appt scheduled and his secretary said it was probably a month before his first available time. Very frustrating---thinking of switching, but just not many choices of Ped Rheum in the city. I guess we are lucky to have the ones we do!

This doctor is a blessing for our family. He diagnosed, treated and communicated with my daughter/family beautifully. We appreciate him very much.
