Dr. Andy Yuhow Chang, MD

I am a pediatrician in the W LA area, and I have worked with just about every pediatric urologist out there, and Dr. Chang is the only person I refer to for urology. He is the surgeon who corrected the mistake of other "well known" urologists. So in short, he is surgically very competent. Every patient sent to him has remarked on his excellent bedside manners and communication skills. He is an non-alarmist, who has actually PREVENTED surgery in several patients who other urologists in the area claimed needed surgery. He is excellent in every regard and would be surgeon I would take my own children to, if needed. I am not sure why others have had the negative experiences they have had, but I felt inclined to write this review to share my experience with him over the years and countless patients I have referred to him.

Very dangerous. First time seen my son without any supporting diagnosis recommended for surgery, even though I suggested some test. Not listening what other thinks or concern.

Didn't ask any history about the issue. Diagnosed without knowing anything except that pain is present. He was wrong. This man has a big ego.

Horrible bedside manner. Didn't take the time to review my son's history before giving a diagnosis and recommendation for surgery.
