Dr. Aneela Mahmud, MD

On my first exam, she didn't check lympths, she seemed afraid to make contact with my and ignored some requests and decided to sell me $150, worth of supplements. I don't think she's qualified for medical practice, but should be in a holistic setting In Sedona. I highly dis- recommend

Dr. Mahmud is one of those rare doctors who genuinely cares about her patients. I appreciate her thoughtful approach to medicine. I recommend her to my family and friends.

I'm a well informed patient with a medical background of close to 40 years. I'm used to working together with my healthcare provider to determine the best course of action for my well being. It was as if I was talking with layperson or supplement salesperson. I don't believe she has the experience, or desire, to treat someone with a serious condition.

Dr. Aneela exceeded my expectations. I moved from CA to AZ and needed to change health insurance plans. After asking around and doing research online, I chose to meet Dr. Aneela. I am an RN who has worked at some of the finest medical centers in the country. I am also educated in alternative medicine and holistic approach to treatment. Dr. Aneela looked me in the eyes, listened carefully, and addressed all of my concerns. She did a full battery of tests, with my permission. I feel confident in her training, her passion for what she does, and in her ability to listen and honor my thoughts and wishes. I returned a few weeks later to discuss the results and we formed a plan together. I could not be more pleased with my new physician. Highly recommended.

Poor listener, distracted and unprepared. After filling out pages and pages of required input forms and having years of medical records sent in advance, she began my physical without having read, or not remembering, anything in them. I’ve never had a physical where the doctor didn’t examine or touch me. No ear, eyes, nose, throat or lymph check. Just recommendations for tests not covered by insurance and supplements she didn’t have in stock. Left scratching my head and researching other PCPs. Waste of my time and insurance $.

I've had 3 visits with Dr Mahmud over the past 2 years, each for a different reason. Even though my second visit was several months after my first, and Dr Mahmud had moved from a group practice to her own, she remembered everything from our first visit taking it into consideration when exploring my new reasons for being in her office. I prefer a holistic non-medical approach. Although I am open to traditional medicine if that is what is needed. Its great to have a Dr who is well versed in both and is aware of any contraindications. I especially liked her friendly and professional staff. Overall a lovely experience if you have to go to a Dr.

I must say I left the office visit wondering if she really had a degree in medicine. She may be knowledgeable in holistic care but she did not seem to be very aware of normal problems one encounters.
