Dr. Aneesa Islam Keya, MD

I was referred to this doctor by my primary care physician. I contacted her office and scheduled a time for her to call me. We had a 10 minute talk over the phone regarding my sleep habits and that was it. I decided not to get any treatment and left it at that. Three months later I get a bill for $300! At no point was it made clear that the phone call would be considered an actual "virtual visit" that I would be charged for. Using deception to make a profit is very unethical.

My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Keya due to numbness in my left hand. I called to make an appointment and read the reason for the referral to Dr. Keya's staff member. The exact reason for the referral is "left-hand numbness in the distribution of the ulnar nerve". I had a take critical time away from my work but the numbness and pain require treatment. My appointment was for 1:30 pm. I arrived at Dr. Keya's office at 1:00 pm to complete all the new patient documentation. After submitting the documentation, I was told that Dr. Keya refused to see me because I was not there for a sleep study. My primary care doctor thought she was a neurologist! Her staff was given the referral reason. But this so-called "doctor" refused to see me. She only does sleep studies. Poor customer service and not a doctor that anyone should trust!

After a sleep study consult, I never heard from her again. Only assistants call, and requests to speak with her are never fulfilled. Essentially she signed a prescription for a sleep study and one for a CPAP, but that was it. Not recommended unless you just need a new prescription

I’ve been seeing Dr. Keya for many years now and I thank God for her. Not only is she the kindest woman and doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with, but she takes her time every appointment. I never feel rushed or not thoroughly examined. Before I started seeing her, I had the worst Neurologist. Not only was she and her office staff rude, condescending and totally unprofessional but if I had a seizure and ended up in some hospital unconscious, she couldn’t even return the hospitalist’s phone call! Then thank god I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Keya, who honestly cares about her patients. I had a seizure a couple of years ago that ended up giving me a traumatic brain injury along with a broken back and even though this happened on a Sunday, Dr. Keya left her family dinner to come to the ER and make sure I was squared away. These are qualities you can’t teach in medical school. She is just a wonderful Doctor and woman and I thank her for saving my life and keeping me… alive.

She’s nice enough, but you don’t hear from her regarding any results, etc. Only assistants who read statements from your file. No chance to ask questions, etc. not recommended.

Dr. Keys is not only knowledgeable but also clearly explains all ramifications of sleep apnea, study etc. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Keya and feel she is looking out for my best interests. Facility is always clean, well managed (For appointments and sleep study too !!) P.S. Sorry to see "Aleja" leave- she is wonderful!! Staff- Every staff member has been personable, helpful, considerate and professional. This is a well run facility.

Dr. Keya takes her time with her patients, answers all questions well and thoroughly.

I am fortunate enough to get in touch with Dr. Keya regarding my neurological treatment......She was talented, courteous & intelligent to handle my situation in the best possible way......Staff is friendly & amiable......Facility is quite nice......Thanks to her.....:-)

Dr Keya is horrible when it comes to communicating with you. She does not fill out forms properly and neglects responding to requests for information. She needs one office and an actual office manager that can handle the Admin tasks which are so important with a neurologist.

I never recommend her. She didn't listen and seems to be short tempered.
