Summary
About Angela Ball
The decision to become a nurse happened gradually for Angela Ball, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. As the oldest and only girl in her family, she describes herself as a natural caregiver. This instinct was brought alive when her middle brother was born with a serious medical condition. At age four, she spent a lot of time at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, and it wasn’t long until she felt completely at home in the hospital. “My mom later became a nurse as well, inspired by many of the same experiences,” she says.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Indiana University South Bend, as well as her Master of Science in Nursing. She enjoys her role as a nurse practitioner. “I love helping people through difficult circumstances and guiding them as they make decisions that improve their health and enrich their lives,” Angela says.
Choosing neurosurgery as a specialty came about after experiences working with post-operative neurosurgery …patients in both an outpatient setting and a critical care unit. “I’ve always been fascinated by the brain, nerves and spine. The more I learn, the more I love it,” she says.
As she works with patients, Angela hopes they know she is there to list and to help. “I’m on their side and will work hard to earn their trust and respect.”
In her own words…
Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life? Hands down, my grandfather. He taught me so much about hard work, compassion, and faith — and he even bought me my first car in high school, a convertible!
What was your first job? I worked at McDonald’s, and believe it or not, I learned a lot there about teamwork and customer service.
What is your favorite food? Movie? I love tacos, and you can give me a chick flick any day!
What was your best/worst subjects in school? My best subject was science, and my worst was math.
If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be? I’m going to be a little shallow here and say Garth Brooks — I absolutely love him!
What are you passionate about? My family and my faith keep me grounded and motivated every single day.
What do you like to do for fun? I love to travel — a cruise a year keeps the doctor away! I also enjoy reading and spending time with my two dogs, Annie (a Great Dane) and Clara (a Great Pyrenees).

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
