Dr. Angela Anita Raquel Coultman, MD

Angela Coultman should never have become a pediatrician, she doesn't show any patience or care to her little patient. My daughter started with a fever on Thursday, then the following two day coughs and throwing ups. Because it's weekends, we hoped to wait until Monday to see doctor, but on Sunday early morning, my daughter had bad nose bleeding on both sides, fever was high, so we went into the doctor's office on Sunday morning. This doctor showed up after over an hour of waiting in the exam room, she came in with pen and paper without any greetings, but straight questions about symptoms. Her tone was cold, unfriendly and uncaring, leaning against the sink taking notes from time to time. Next she said she needed to listen to my daughter's lung, my 4 year old daughter was sitting on a chair, she said " She must sit on the table otherwise I can't reach her". Our previous pediatricians were always so friendly, even offer my daughter to sit on mommy's legs, or bend their knees and back… to reach my daughter wherever she sat. My daughter saw her sister had shots on the exam table, she refused to sit on the table and crawled under the table. The doctor just stood there rolling her very unfriendly eyes. Finally my daughter came out after I assured her the doctor was not going to hurt her, only to make her feel better. The doctor listened the heart beat and lungs quickly, her instant conclusion was, it was not flu, it's probably just virus. I didn't question her conclusion, instead I was so relived to know it's not flu and thanked her many times for her time and help. I told her to write down the things she told me, so I could tell my husband. But after she left the office, she only told the nurse to print a paper saying my child should stay hydrated. That's all. And the worst part really wasn't her attitude, here comes the worst part, she misdiagnosed my daughter!!! Two days later we had to go back to the doctor, this time it was our own pediatrician, and she confirmed what my daughter got was flu, just like her younger sister. And by this time, our pediatrician had to order my daughter a chest X-Ray. I am very upset with Dr. Coultman, because of her uncaring cold attitude to her patient, for god's sake, if you hate kids, you should never be a pediatrician! And I'm more upset about the misdiagnose, it's flu, as a professional, you can't even spot a flu? you could have done a flu test instead of a strip throat test, if you can't decide from all the symptoms I told you. I wish there's a way I could report this doctor to her board and have her license taken away.
