Dr. Angela W Murphy, MD

Went doctor Murphy for planters faschiitist she put me on mobic for 3 weeks after about 2.5 weeks I started hurting really bad lower left stomach I quit taking med but it was to late I started passing blood in my stool the med had weakened my colon wall and altered my gut mucus which led to severe diverticulosis I was in my mid 60s at that time which was about 3 years ago since then it has got worse have CT abdominal scan that shows its severe I hurt pretty much all the time sometimes have to take antibiotics I hope I don't end up with a bag hanging on my side for stool exit in my opinion and at my age she should have never prescribed me that med for 3 weeks from research no more than 10 days in my opinion her decision ruined my colon health for the rest of my life if I had known that med could mess with your gut mucus and weaken your colon wall I would have never taken it after a week foot was feeling fine in my opinion she should have considered a shorter term of treatment but she … just said take 3 weeks and come back back I trusted her and that was big mistake I just don't think she considered my age and the danger of that medication taken that long on somebody at my age I would not recommend her I think her knowledge in my opinion on medication is lacking I'm living proof.

I saw Dr. Murphy for years, and still wish I could see her, but after she closed her office in Huntsville and moved back to Ft. Payne, I couldn't make the drive. But sure do miss her Excellent Service!

Dr. Murphy is very knowledgeable and patient friendly she took her time to not only help me but to explain every procedure in detail , not only to me but to my family as well . I have been seeing her for ten years or more and have no regrets, she is a well keep secret in Alabama for sure ,a hidden jewel.
