Dr. Angelo Perry Thrower, MD

READ CAREFULLY! Find yourself another Dermatologist. I started going to Dr. Thrower, when I was 16 (1993). Back then, he actually cared about caring for patients and prescribing medications that actually worked. I went back to him in my 30s and decided never to return. Years later, I had forgotten why I stopped going to him, then I remembered on my most recent visit why I decided to previously to not return. I'd be okay with the long wait and the half-way courteous staff who aren't busy on their private phones or talking to each other. Dr. Thrower is in the business of selling his own products whether they work or not!! He does not prescribe medications, that he used to, before he started making expensive products that can only be purchased by paying out of pocket (without insurance). He gives the same speech to every client. Heard him tell the client in the next room the exact same story and diagnosis he gave me-even though I had come in with previously purchased products. … I was told that I wasn't using his products correctly, and was given another list of $500 worth of products (7-8 different creams) to use when the moon is out, when the sun is shining at noon, when it's the 3rd day of the month, etc. The regimen is sooo convoluted that you need a calendar to keep up. Whenever you ask him for cost, he refers you to the staff in the front and says, I only work here. Well Dr. they are your products with your names on them, that's benefiting you. Needless to say, I will be reporting him to the Medical Board because he will not prescribe anything other than his products. If you don't have the money to pay, then no treatment for you-even if you have insurance. I can and purchased a few items, but they don't work. Scam be aware.

I have been going to Dr Thrower for many years to treat my dry and oily skin and the result is great! I have received so many compliments on how beautiful my skin is. I would strongly recommend him to you for all your skin problems.

Dr Thrower is Awesome. He was the only Physician To Correct My Skin Problem

I have gone to Dr. Thrower for a second visit, I am quite happy with the results that I have received (blotches) after purchasing the necessary facial creams that the dr recommended. However, with that being said, I too think that Dr. Thrower's techniques and creams are very expensive. Nevertheless, I was told by a wise woman that you get what you pay for, and I am definitely getting great results

Dr. Thrower made a big impact on my life treating a skin condition I had. Since I am African American I have some unique aspects to the properties of my skin, especially on my arm. His products took care of the issue promptly. Dr. Thrower's team is very professional and I am grateful they helped me with this problem! Thank You!

This is the first time I saw a doctor and you had to pay before you see him. I went to him specifically to have facial scars I received in the military and to get a written evaluation. I had asked the staff in the front if he is capable of doing this and they assured me he can. After a ninety minute wait I was brought into a small exam room where I had to wait another fifty five minutes till he walked in. I told him what I was there for and he changed the subject to products for acne and redness of the skin and was pushing them on me. I told him I am not there for products and that I needed to get an evaluation in writing describing the rather substantial scars on my face. He bluntly told me he can not do that. The staff refused to refund my money. This doctor has a money agenda to push his face creams and products and has no care as to patient's actual needs. I rate him as a zero and a con man.

I was recommended to Dr. Thrower by a coworker who had been going to him for years. I called to set my appt and the staff was professional and friendly. The wait time can vary depending on the day...the first time I waited maybe 20 min, was escorted by a staff member then assessed by Dr. Thrower. But my second appt I waited almost 45 minutes. I found out Dr. Thrower is only in the office limited days so it seems they try and squeeze in as many patients as possible. He overall assessment and product recommendation was great. They give you an individualized regimine sheet to follow, take your before photo and help you purchase products. They worked within my budget and I ended up getting only the essentials to get started. My face made a total 360, dark spots faded and had considerably less breakouts around my period.

He was very rude with a quick assessment.

When you have an appointment make sure you clear your entire schedule because the waiting time is ridiculously long. I had to leave after waiting for an hour and an half.
