Dr. Abdullah Anil Gungor, MD

I took my 20-month daughter to her pediatrician multiple times for the last three months with inexplicable fevers. I always got the same story every time I asked them to check her ears for infection, "Well, I see the tubes." When I finally had enough and SELF-referred to a Pediatric ENT, Dr. Gungor was Fantastic! He showed me how to hold her so he could get a good look in her ears. He did so briefly then said, "Her tubes are completely blocked." Indeed he saw the tubes and FURTHER investigated to discover if they were actually working. I will NEVER go back to a FP or Pediatrician when I'm concerned about my daughter's ears. After he was done, and my daughter stopped crying (because she hates it when people mess with her ears), he even played with her a little to make her laugh. Then Dr. Gungor and his staff went out of their way to help us get the soonest appointment possible to have her tubes replaced. EXCELLENT doctor!!

After my son choked on a popcorn hull, I took him to a different ENT for 2 weeks. The other doctor didn't believe that my 18 month old was wheezing from popcorn and treated him with antibiotics, steroids and nebulizers, all without improvement. By the time Dr. Gugnor saw my son, he had had this piece of food lodged in his windpipe for 2 weeks - he scared the crap out of me when he told me what might go wrong, but was very kind, patient and gentle with my son. And he took out my daughters tonsils the next year with the same wonderful care. I would highly recommend him if you live anywhere near Temple!!
