Dr. Anita Gondy, MD

I picked up my medical records the other day and I feel comfortable enough to finally write my review. I went in for an annual pap, this is my first time at this clinic. The intake paperwork asked if any of my FRIENDS struggle with drugs or alcohol - it doesn’t ask if you, the patient, do drugs other than smoking and cannabis use. It doesn’t ask if you drink alcohol. Just if your own friends struggle with issues with drugs and alcohol. Nowhere on the entire form does it ask if you have any sexual trauma or trauma related to OBGYN issues. It also has clunky questionnaire sections that force you to fill out information instead of just answering “no” (for example, when was the last date of your colonoscopy and all relevant info related to the procedure - you couldn’t just select that you hadn’t ever had one). At the end of the intake form it has advertisements for you to review. The pap was routine and the healthcare provider was friendly, office was clean and the whole process was… normal. However, my pap came up with abnormal results, so I was scheduled for a transvaginal ultrasound and a colposcopy. I had the ultrasound at the Tenaya location - I appreciate the office is kept at a warmer temperature and the room was dimmed. The ultrasound itself was fine and again, the reception workers are very friendly. Following that I had my colposcopy. The first question I was asked upon arrival was whether or not I had googled the procedure. I said I had and that it was a pap smear but with a lighted microscope to get a better look. They confirmed this - except that’s not what it is. When I got into the procedure room, they had long metal scraping forks laying on the table and I immediately became anxious. I had clarified at my first pap that I have PTSD from my first IUD insertion, it’s in my paperwork. Dr. Gondy came in and promptly started talking at me about abnormal results and cervical cell growth and it was a lot of information just told to me while I was waiting to get in the stirrups. When she got to the part where she said she was going to scrape inside my cervix I immediately tensed up even more and expressed my concern. Her response was, “we just did one before you came in here, and you didn’t hear any screaming, did you?” She said it would feel like a pinch - I said that’s exactly how the IUD insertion was described and it was easily the most excruciating experience of my life. She dismissed this saying she does a hundred a day and it’s not an issue. She did the colposcopy - it was painful and upsetting but wasn’t nearly as traumatic as my IUD and I am extremely grateful. The cervical pain increased throughout the day and I had pretty intense pain for a couple of weeks. The only reason I knew it was normal is that after posting about my procedure, I had several women share their experiences of how traumatic their colposcopies were and that residual pain is expected. At no point was I told to take any pain management before, that there would be pain (as opposed to “discomfort”), and that there would be residual pain in the weeks after. I was given absolutely ZERO post-procedure care instructions. I took baths after, used tampons - I had no idea you were supposed to avoid these. When I called to get more clarification about my results and brought this up - they confirmed that I was indeed to avoid those specific things and that I was supposed to receive post-procedure instructions. In my chart it says that I did - my partner was there with me and confirmed it never happened. I will be seeking future care elsewhere. The information was already in my file that I had trauma surrounding GYN issues and I was still handled so poorly. I felt talked at, not spoken to, and I can’t believe how unprepared I was for the entire experience and the lack of care. It was enraging to read that I had been given post-procedure precautions when I was not told one single thing of what to expect and what to avoid, for me to go home and pote

Just had my GYN check-up and am very happy and satisfied with my doctor who is patient-centered and relates well and speaks and listens to me.

They are rude & DO NOT WANT ANY MORE MILITARY AS THEIR PATIENCE. THEY DELETE YOUR COMMENTS, MINE AND OTHERS. THEY LIE AND GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND.

Trying to get an appointment with Dr. Anita Gondy was a complete nightmare. I had to call the office 4 times before I was able to talk to someone. Because the first times I called, I either got hung up on or I was sent to voicemail. Once I got someone I requested an appointment with Dr. Anita Gondy, they took down almost all my information before telling me that they need all my insurance information. At this point I asked if I would just be able to bring that in the day of my visit, I was told no. Then I was told the appointment was going to be with the nurse practitioner. So I was never able to get an appointment with the doctor.

I am so blessed to have such a loving and caring doctor.Your wellbeing is her number 1 priority. `I am totally satisfied with Dr. Gondy and hope to always have her as my Doctor.

I was given inaccurate test results over the phone by her staff. I came in for a followup as I was told to, but upon arrival, I was treated like I didn't need to be there and that it was somehow my fault for scheduling an unnecessary appointment. The nurse was very rude and impatient and discussed my reason for being there right next to the front desk where other patients were checking out. I was made to feel like a burden, like I was wasting their time. I was then told what my actual test results were, which was a surprise to me because I had been notified everything was fine, but everything was not fine. Then, as I went to check out, there was an entire staff there socializing with each other instead of looking up to take care of me. Very unprofessional. I felt neglected. My privacy was violated. I was treated like a nuisance. And obviously my chart was incomplete, because they thought I was there for something else entirely. Ridiculous. Will not return.

Dr. Gondy is the best doctor I have ever had!

I am so glad I chose Dr.Gondy for my care during my pregnancy.Doctor is very busy but took a lot of time explaining the office routines to us.My husband is very impressed.She specially took extra time is making us understand different food groups,weight management during pregnancy.I have not seen that from any of my previous doctors.Most people love to write about the doctor when they do not like something.Very few actually write about what they like.So sad.Any way I love Dr.Gondy and her staff.I would recommend their office to all my friends.

Dr. Gondy is an awesome doctor. I had a problem with the staff. I waited in the examing room for approx 45 mins if not longer. No one ever came into to at least say "Dr. running behind..there is an emergency..or something" when the doctor came in and asked me how I was doing. I politely told her that I have been waiting for over 45 mins. She then said "didn't anyone tell you that we were involved in a specail project" or something of the sort. I told her no. Of course she aplogized..but she should have to if her staff had of shown a little more courtesy to the patient.

Dr. Gondy is awesome & her nursing staff is just as good! She is very friendly & gentle! She listens to concerns & takes time to answer all of your questions! I had been searching for a couple of years to find a doctor I liked. The only complaint I have is the office stuff. They can be very rude, but she's worth it
