Dr. Anita O Jongco, MD

I was a patient for 15 yrs had no issues until I became ill and was admitted to the hospital in Newark. When the ER contacted her she told them she doesn't DEAL with that particular hospital WHAT??? So I was so bad off my husband was talking to the hospital staff they informed him that she told them to call an associate of hers that helps her often. This man gave the hospital instructions and I'd never seen him before. So even if she didn't want to come to Newark she could have at least called me to see how I was feeling IN MY OWN WORDS. I stopped seeing her and I am so happy with my new doc. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED ANITA JONGCO!!!

Dr. Jongco is an excellent doctor, cares for her patients and listens to her patients!

I am a patient of Doctor Jongco for more than 10 years. She is excellent and I love her; she spent time with you and explain everything. She is an outstanding Doctor. Jackie and Minnie are wonderful extremely courteous.The only negative for me is her wait time is too long but I must admitt with her additional help it is slighty improve.Thanks Doctor Jongco for all your wonderful care and for being the best Doctor.

Dr. Jongco is thorough, never in a rush. Recently, I came to her with my long term coughing. She was patient with me, and made an accurate diagnosis and prescriptions. Consequently, on day one of taking my prescriptions, I felt relief, until I recovered to be able to sing at a concert cough-free at the end of the week. I have full confidence in Dr. Jongco, and I appreciate most especially being able to talk to her as a follow up of my visit. She's a very dedicated physician and I am very happy that she is my primary care physician.

Dr. Jongco is patient, kind,and understanding. She takes her time to explain my health care concerns and, the waiting time is five (5) minutes or less. Her staff is professional and courteous. All in all it is a pleasure to go into her office and be treated with respect and concern.

All our visit to Dr. Jongco's office resulted of me or my wife waiting for more than 2 hours to be called. We always arrived 20-30 minutes early and not get called until 2-3hours has past which made me missed a whole day's work and my wife's school. The Dr. cares, but I believe their appointment booking is unacceptable. As much as we would want to stay with Dr Jongco, we're gonna take our chances elsewhere. Our time is valuable and cannot afford to keep missing work or school for a simple check-up.

I came to Dr Jongco more than a year ago based on recommendation of friends. When I first came to her about some gastro-intestinal issues, she connected with a GI doctor, but also ordered abdominal ultrasound which uncovered a suspect splenic mass. This finding was key to my subsequent PMDBCL (a type of NHL) cancer diagnosis.Dr Jongco worked diligently and promptly to coordinate my hospitalization and cancer treatment so that I got the best care at SBMC. She followed up on me even after my oncologist became my primary care doctor. She is truly caring and an excellent internist.
