Dr. Anita Levin, MD

Dr. Levin is a great Doctor, that is if you can ever get in to see her. I had a good experience with her for my first pregnancy, I last saw her at my post natal checkup over two years ago. Since then I have had two miscarriages and an Ovarian Cyst that I am still waiting on a diagnosis for and have not seen her. I talked to her on the phone once, but that was it. Since I cannot sleep at night waiting on this diagnosis so I am going to have to switch practices, they are good when you get to see them and talk to them, but they have no follow up skills. I would not go to her is you are having any serious issues that need immediate attention.

Dr. Levin is an outstanding ob/gyn as is the entire practice. Everyone is on top of their game. I fully recommend the practice, either downtown or Northbrook.

I had suffered for over a year with chronic yeast infections and just general vaginal irritation. It wasn't something I could talk to anyone about. I saw one doctor three times, but she never did anything for me. I went to another doctor after that, and then I found Dr. Levin by researching years of experience for OB/GYNs. She has over 20. She started me on a course of Diflucan and hormone replacement therapy (my vaginal dryness was from menopause). I'm also diabetic, (hence the chronic yeast infections) so I'll be seeing another Dr. for that. It's not easy to get an appointment, but she's worth waiting for. Great friendly personality too! I feel so much better than I did, thanks to her.

If you are looking for the best in the business, go to Dr. Levin. Dr. Levin was extremely caring during my visit -- she made me feel comfortable in even the most uncomfortable situation. Like a previous reviewer, I only wish I had found her earlier!

Dr. Levin was the ONLY ob/gyn who took my problems seriously & made it a priority to find a solution. She is an excellent listener, and excellent doctor and I implicitly trust her judgment with regard to my care.

Dr. Levin seems like a very knowledgeable doctor, however her demeanor in appointments is unacceptable. She has a penchant for babbling on about her family and then when it comes time for you to ask questions/express concerns she is brisk and curt in her responses. I was trying to have a serious discussion about STD concerns at my last appt when she abruptly cut me off and walked out of the room ending our appointment. I would highly recommend trying a different doctor.
