Dr. Anita Rakesh Patel, MD

Well, I actually had my first visit to Dr. Patel and in my personal experience, I was pleased. I didn’t see these negative reviews beforehand. I also have not seen reviews since 2020. Had I read the reviews first I would’ve detoured. Maybe they’ve changed and are a little more experienced now. Sometimes it takes a while for things to become established. And sometimes when people write bad reviews or you start to get less business it makes people change and realize they need you to stay in business. Same with St. Joseph’s hospital that was built in Riverview. Hopefully I don’t have a bad experience in the future as for now I plan to continue with her.

If I could rate her a negative I would. Worst experience I have encountered with a Doctor. I have a very bad spine with arthritis causing major pain constantly. State sent me for an evaluation. Dr. Patel was rude, condescending and aggressive in her behavior, she threaten to not do the exam because I was under pain and at one point asked me what i did all day " do you watch birds all day" I could tell she was not interested in doing this examination, obviously State does not pay her enough. I am writing this in hopes that new patients read all of these negative comments, they are quite uniform, all stating the same experience. Sad!

I would rate her in the minus if I could. I am a physician, who went in for a new patient visit. Her assistant (PA/NP) did not follow up on a single item we discussed (Podiatry name, patient portal information, forgot to order a lab test, forgot to order a medicine). The “complete medical exam” consisted of her listening to my heart and lungs and feeling my abdomen over my clothes. When I asked to see the doctor, Dr Patel had an attitude, was rude and condescending. If she treated a fellow physician this badly, I wonder how she treats others.

Useless, rude, never calls back. The only thing that she and her office know how to do is take your money. Any other reviews that you read that give her a five she must have paid them

I am rating this "so called" physician as a brother that accompanied his sister to all of her doctors appointments due to the extent of her illnesses. I worked in the medical field for half of my life and in all those years, never have I experienced such cold, rude and unprofessional behavior by a medical doctor. I can only imagine how detrimental to my sister's health it could have been had I not accompanied her on her appointment. This "person" does not deserve to carry the title of Doctor.

The staff is inexperience and unprofessional At times The doctor acts as if she's not a real doctor. Be careful and pull your recods. You'll find things in your chart that you were not treated for but her office got paid. I don't know why this doctor is allowed to practice. She's rude and will write prescription for the wrong illness. Her office falsify your blood pressure too because they will look and see what your last blood pressure was and copy it. I caught them with a new medical assistance in training. The new assistance later quit because of the other staff being fude to her.Sometimes I think this doctor isn't a real doctor. Your health will deteriorate while waiting for a referrals. I had to eait three months mow my conditions have gotttom worst. Don't go there. She shouldn't be allowed to practice. She's evil.

I like foreign doctors but this one is a piece of work. I can guarantee all reviews with 4 & 5 stars are written by her. She is the worst, no humane behavior, rude, selfish, arrogant and violent if you ask question.FL state board should investigate and discipline her
