Dr. Anita Shivadas, MD

She is arrogant and lack of basic skill set. She does not listen to her patient. I had the worst experience with her.

I have been Dr. Shivadas patient for over 10 years. I am also a faculty member at the same institution. She is ok for your typical annual check ups, but when problems arrive she is not up to the task. Her academic background is not good, and this reflects in her inability to provide a diagnose. She cannot diagnose and does not recognize her inability to do that by referring you to an specialist. She then becomes the typical arrogant, condescend, and judgmental physician that believes that everything is in your head and prescribe you a long list of medications to target symptoms and shut you up. No single test, not going to the root, not even looking whether your new medication counteract with the medication prescribed in your previous visit. Luckily, I have a biomedical background. When challenged her, her response was what she really thought was I needed going to a therapist, curcumin and meditation. (I have Hashimoto's disease, I've been getting monthly cold/flu for two years,… joint-ache and recently developed daily headache for the last two months).

Dr.Shivadas is the PCP for my wife and I for last 3 years, since we relocated from NY. We have seen her for follow up and several acute visits. We have been pleased with both her care and her staff. I would highly recommend her.

Very POOR bedside manner. Abrupt and Rude.

I was very pleased with Dr Shivadas. I had a uti,my previous primary said there was no sign of an infection(I went to him twice), I changed to Dr Shivadas, she had a culture done and the infection showed up. She was very respectful

I had the opportunity to see this physician. She is very kind and knowledgable. Excellent bedside manner. I'm so pleased with the quality of care that I have recommended her to my family members.

I had the sad need to get my aunt to this lady. I have known the family(her father, brother) for manny years. They used to run a third rate nursing home in India. The treatment was pathetic and we shifted her to another doctor. I also know her father Mr. Shivadas, an engineer, who was very rude and arrogant(dont know what he thought of himself that I lacked?). I'd rather NOT take their help even in an emergency. HUMBLE REQUEST: PLZ STAY AWAY.

Dr. Shivadas ordered tests for me which she did not inform me of. Many were unnecessary, as I had them done very recently. When I requested that the billing be adjusted, she responded with something to the effect of 'don't worry about it, your insurance will pay for it.' I told her I was unhappy with what she had done on ethical grounds. She ignored that issue altogether and told me that any reasonable doctor would have done the same and added the following nasty comment: "A PhD does not guarantee you expertise in all specialties." (I have a PhD, and I guess she meant that I still don't know jack, and she thinks patients are completely useless in all aspects of medical decision making in all cases.) I found her very cold and unkind during the appointment and then very unprofessional when I asked her to adjust billing for unnecessary tests that she ordered without my consent. (I judged them to be unnecessary only because they had been done less than 2 months before with optimal… results, and this was just a visit to establish a PCP.) She certainly won't be mine...
