Dr. Anita Raj Singal, MD

I chose this doctor because her office was close to home and in-network with my insurance. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. From the start of my first visit, I felt the doctor had an edge and lacked warmth. I was there to establish care before my upcoming knee replacement surgery and to complete necessary blood work. Instead, I was quickly pressured to transfer all six of my existing prescriptions to her office. She assured me it would be simple through the portal, like my previous provider, but that turned out not to be the case. During the appointment, I mentioned I occasionally experience atrial fibrillation (about 2% of the time), which a previous cardiologist had already evaluated and considered insignificant. Despite this diagnosis, she immediately ordered tests and even threatened to cancel my surgery-scheduled for months-unless she received more cardiology clearance. This was incredibly stressful, especially as a brand-new patient, and I later spoke to… both my surgeon and anesthesiologist neither indicated that the Afib was an issue. The problems didn’t end there. When I needed a prescription refill, the office failed to respond to the Amazon pharmacy request on August 26th. I called on August 28, only to find the doctor had already left for the day and was the only one authorized to refill medications. I asked to speak with the office manager, was left on hold for over 10 minutes, then told they were too busy. I left my number and requested a call back, but no one ever followed up. I never received a call back despite trying again in the morning. Eventually, the doctor only approved a partial refill for 7-10 days and insisted I schedule another in-office visit-despite having just completed a physical and blood work 4 weeks earlier (which I asked about but had not been reviewed with me). To make matters worse, they never notified Amazon, leaving me without medication that causes painful side effects if missed. What should have been a smooth transition of care turned into a week of frustration, poor communication, and a lack of concern for my well-being. Between the dismissive attitude, the unnecessary threats around surgery, and the consistently inept handling of prescriptions, I cannot recommend this provider.
