Dr. Anita Sloan Westafer, MD

I have not seen Dr. Anita Westafer in many years. I recently found out that she is practicing again. I absolutely relied on her for many years and she was so faithfully available and caring. I am hoping to be a patient again very soon. I have missed her. I have never found another physician who was as great at her profession or as concerned in my wellness. I will be calling for an appointment tomorrow. God Bless you Dr. Westafer.

The wait is worth it to see her Dr Westafer is a very caring physician. Certain patients do tend to take up the full appointment times and I am one of them. Being able to see a physician who takes time listening and able to diagnose the patient the first time is a rare commodity. I have been seen by several physicians and I attend to keep seeing Dr. Westafer and her team of care givers and office staff. Everytime I am seen everyone greets me with a smile.

There is nothing worse than an office that has no respect for patient's time. I have waited over an hour past my appointment time every visit. She never asked what my work was only my husband. Very disrespectful.

I think Dr. Westafer is terrific. She does take care of patients. The wait time is just has not been tolerable. I understand she is busy but an appt time is just that, my time is valuable also..Within the last year on a minimal of three appts, I have waited a 1 hour and as long as 1 1/2 hrs before being seen. That is not tolerable for anyone. The wait is unacceptable. and that is my ONLY complaint. I do not understand not being prompt with patients.....Our time is valuable too...

I normally see her associate, but had a severe attack, which now to be anxiety and she squeezed me in with little waiting time! She sat with me and actually listened to my issues where as my DR only wanted to yell about not having a physical. Her nurse was great took great care made me feel like a person not just a Patient. Want to change Dr's today! I hope she will accept my change. Signed "feeling great"

Was told that if I needed a Antibiotic that all i need to do is call the dr and she would call it in for me. Needless to say it has taken all day and now it is 4:00 in the afternoon and no meds and no call. So now I have to go all weekend with a sick child because they do not care!!!!

The reason that I like this doctor so much is *precisely* the reason why she has (unfairly) gotten some averages lower than excellent! If her average wait time is a little bit above the national average, I would consider that a "very good" thing! She spends as much time with each patient as is absolutely needed. Who wouldn't want that from a family doctor? Does that mean that she should allow for this by scheduling fewer patients? Absolutely not! Doctors have to make a living also. Family physicians don't "get rich". Most of them, including Dr. Westafer, have contractual obligations with many of the most popular health insurance plans, and those obligations severely restrict how much they can charge for a visit. I honestly have no complaints about this doctor.
