Very rude and impatient with the elderly. She used scare tactics to push me into getting cataract surgery. The assistants are just like her maids. When she realized that I didn't get scared, she just left the room all upset. It is hard to verify her credentials as an MD because they won't post them on the portal. Abusive little woman should go to her country of origin.

Dr. Parekh actually walked out on my daughters appointment yesterday and told her she refuses to continue to treat her. Why? Because my daughter dared to ask her why she was changing her medication to a self induced drug (Humira) instead of continuing on her already prescribed medical infusion. She wasn't comfortable with using a self-injected medication. Dr. Parekh is very knowledgeable but has no personality or patient skills. How can a doctor practicing with Sharp's Medical Center just walk out and refuse to treat her patient??? We are filing a complaint with Sharp/Rees/Stealey and the CA medical board. My daughter didn't get her medications refilled and now she has no one assigned as her optomologist to treat her condition. I do not recommend Dr. Parekh unless you are willing to do as she says and you don't want to participate in your own medical treatment.

Dr. Parekh is smart, but she does not demonstrate professionalism. She does not wash her hands before examining the patient, which is concerning since germs can very easily get into your system through the eye area. She also has no regard for actual appointment times. I scheduled an 8 am appointment with her, and she didn't even walk into the exam room until 9:15. How could you be an hour and 15 minutes behind on the first appointment of the day? Would not recommend Dr. Parekh.

She is a warm, and caring eye doctor I have ever had. You can trust her 100% with her skill and caring for your glaucoma. You will feel very comfortable and trusted her at the first time you see her. She is a few good doctor in San Diego.
