Dr. Ann Marie Ricks, MD

My delivery was unbelievably pleasant, and I owe it all to Dr. Ricks. She is a true dynamo. After hearing so many birth horror stories, I was prepared for the worst possible outcome. She took measures to ensure that I only pushed for 20 minutes, which is unheard of. I was scheduled for an induction. After administering Pitocin, she broke my water, which was painless. 2 hours later the contractions were unbearable, so I requested an epidural. It worked- I slept on and off for 6 hours. When I woke up, I was 10cm dilated and it was time to push. 20 minutes later, my baby was born. I had a 2nd degree tear and she stitched me up beautifully. 6 weeks later I am completely healed. With an OB Group, you run the risk of not knowing who will deliver you. I am so glad my induction delivery was scheduled during her shift. I hope that she delivers my next baby!

Dr Ricks makes me feel very comforted and is easy to talk to. I’m a younger patient of hers. I felt she really listened and had a discussion. Her staff is lovely as well. I always recommend her to my friends.
