Dr. Annapoorna Reddy Chirra, MD

She did not call in my prescription and did not fax me the biopsy. No one seems to know her at the UCLA OMS Clinic. which is where I saw her. I am trying to get the medication but it's hard when you cannot locate the doctor.

I became very sick in 2007, and my health was declining, no one thought to check my neck, Dr. Chirra noticed that it was swollen, and ordered biopsy, she diagnosed, my thyroid cancer at a stage 2, I am so gratefull to this Dr. for having saved my life. She is on top of her patients disorders all the time, and will even call you at home, if you missed appointments or not following treatments, she will definitely not tolerate any lateness,,,she is the best

She is very professional, kind and caring; as well as extremely thorough. Her recommendations for a specialist are impeccable. She always follows up with the patient and answers phone calls in very short order.I like her as a person and highly respect her as a physician.

Dr Chirra is a great PCP. She obviously stays current on new research and journal articles, as she always knows the current best practices for primary medicine. I appreciate her emphasis on preventative health. She always takes time to talk about my weight and excercise level, that I should take Vitamin D since I work nights and how my diet and stress level has been.

The wait time at this office is completely ridiculous. I waited over an hour past my appointment time before I was actually able to see Dr. Chirra. Dr. Chirra was incredibly thorough with my medical history and very informative. However, I didn't appreciate the overcharge that she billed to my insurance company though (I only saw her for .5 hours and she charged me an hour) so it seems a little shady. And also, one particular staff member on her team is completely rude. I'm seriously dissatisfied and considering switching PCPs.

Dr. Chirra has taken care of me for 10 years and has seen me through several health problems. She is extremely caring and professional, a superb diagnostician, practices according to the most recent medical standards and still treats me as an individual. She has excellent relationships with all the MDs she has referred me to and communicates very well with all of them.

I've been seeing Dr. Chirra for about four years now and there's a reason I keep coming back. While she is brisk and professional, she's also caring and considerate. She's been spot on in all her diagnoses and actively works with you to set up a treatment plan when necessary. She played an enormous role in treating my anxiety & depression, and I'd trust no one but her with my physical health as well.
