Dr. Anne Cecilia Dibala, MD

I was referred to this Dr. by my therapist for help with medications that help with anxiety and panic attacks but I’m surprised that my therapist recommended her. At the start of the visit she mumbled something before greeting or introducing herself, her face was extremely close to the monitor you could barely see her. I have cptsd, betrayal trauma and anxiety/panic attacks. She was very rushed, irritated and and had so many questions that I was not expecting nor prepared for. When I didn’t know the answer or if I didn’t answer fast enough or was confused to why or how to answer the questions was look up dates and ages and fine details . She would shake her head and put her head down in her hand in annoyance. One question she asked was if I have tattoos. I told her 3, didn’t even have time to ask why that was relevant…. She wanted to know all the times I had seen a psychiatrist and for how long and what meds and treatment and diagnosis they had . I couldn’t remember them all and she… kept interrupting me when I tried to answer her. She also put her head down with her forehead in her hand multiple times multiple times. Then she accused me of lying when I had gotten confused on which doctor and if that doctor had given me anything back in 2017! That was 8 years ago’ moments so I could share with her those details. She asked how long I took certain meds when I was not even a teenager. Our lines got disconnected somehow and I couldn’t log back into the appointment she had only spent about 20 minutes with me but in her appt summary she recommended a ton of different things and that I see a dr in person. How quickly she assessed me with so many things. I was so nice and trying my hardest to articulate to her everything she wanted. She even paused during the visit to tell me she needed to rush through it because she wanted to be able to give mw the treatment I needed. But I was not even able to tell her any facts about anything. Like how I didn’t take anything because I was apart of a cult (which also is part of the trauma) ; excommunicated after 16 years/ our whole family was traumatized including the kids who nolonger could talk to any of their friends and had been homeschooled so no outside contact either…we were taught medication and doctors were bad, no such thing as adhd or anxiety and cancer is just us not forgiving and once we forgive it will be gone! I said all that to say … Be weary of any medical professional who rushes through an appointment, isn’t friendly in any way, doesn’t make eye contact throughout the appointment, and doesn’t try to establish a healthy connection between you and them so they can see the bigger picture overall. I’d say she was rude and impatient. When we got disconnected I was so distraught that she would be mad at me and ran around the house trying to look for a charger, and better internet connection! My heart was pounding and I started to shut down. So just be careful who you choose to help you in your journey towards recovery!

I was so nervous to see a new psychiatrist, but she was so thorough and I felt truly cared for. She was professional & nice to me. At the end I said thank you so much, and she said “my pleasure.” That coming from a doctor these days is hard to come by from my experience.

I read some other reviews that painted her as kind of mean. I had my first meeting with her and enjoyed her. She had a lot of questions to ask but all and all I thought she was nice and had a good sense of humor

I saw someone on here say that she was mean. I thought surely that wouldn't be a universal experience, but the woman surpassed my expectations. I want to find another psychiatrist, but I'm afraid she's going to hunt me down. She really is that rude.

She’s just mean
