Dr. Anne Marie Reidy

Dr. Reidy has been my OB/GYN for several years. I like her a lot. I like everything about Women4Women. Everyone is professional and really nice and they are very thorough. It's a great place and Dr. Reidy is an awesome doctor. The NP Elizabeth Irby is great too!

My visit with Dr. Reidy was a post surgery visit.I had a DNC procedure that she performed which I’m so thankful that she did all that went good. Today’s visit was great. She was upbeat. Positive shared all the information that I needed to know from my procedure with pictures, was very thorough in explaining ,very positive and very likable. I would highly recommend her to any patient.

Overall, I think Dr. Reidy was really good. She was thorough patient and kind and explained a procedure that I was going to have. This was my first time meeting the doctor.

The doctor that was suppose to delivery me wasn’t at the hospital when I went in. I had to have a doctor I only seen once at one of my appointments. When the doctor arrived she came in the hospital room with her arms folded up standing there, she didn’t come over to me or any of my family to introduced her self. With us being first time parents. First experience. She didn’t come in too happy to be there. When I got close to pushing the nurse started the process of me pushing, the doctor came in once again with her arms folded standing there. She told the nurse she’ll be back. Almost 2 Hours later I was having a hard time pushing, she comes in with an attitude and says what’s going on here?! As if we weren’t trying to have a baby! I’m thinking what does she mean what’s going on here.. She then proceeds and suited up to start her job and help the nurse out. I had my family around me telling me to breathe & push encouraging me. The doctor then tells my family members to stop and let… the nurses tell me what to do. Which was very very rude of her because before she came in we were all working together with the nurse and it was no problem at all for my family to encourage me until she came in. During my pushing It was hard on me to get the baby out the doctor had to use the vacuum and I was asking the doctor what’s going on, the doctor then tells me to stop talking and push. I was mind blown the way she talked to my family not only them but my self also. She was very rude and mean to us. We didn’t deserve the way she treated us. I will never forget the way we were treated by her. No one should have to go through that. The only best part about our experience was our daughter being delivered healthy it took my mind off of how she treated us. Anyone having a child I highly don’t recommend Dr. Annie Marie Reidy If you’re reading this Dr. Reidy you’re not forgiving!

had originally not planned to share but felt women could benefit from my story. I’ve always had horrible periods painful and heavy, like most girls I was given birth control and it worked... until I stopped them to try to conceive 14 years later. I had extreme mood swings, anxiety, I started lactating and gained weight. I went to Dr. Reidy at this time and she said everything was normal and would be pregnant soon. For 8 months I bled on and off like a full period but for about 20 out of the 30 days in a month, cramps were unbearable and the pressure from what now I know is endometriosis was the most uncomfortable I have ever been! Thinking it would help me conceive, she did a D&C to clear out old uterine tissue . I felt great after that but never conceived and my symptoms returned ,my marriage ended not long after that so she advised birth control again since I wasn’t trying to get pregnant. I told her I’d never go back on that after my issues coming off. I wanted the least amount of… synthetic hormones as possible, I did my research and decided on an IUD. It helped with the pain and pressure but I’d continue to bleed. After her and her partner prescribing me tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding , it would work sometimes and other times I’d just give up. On my 30th birthday I was there for my annual and she looked at me and said “do you just want a hysterectomy?” ... She said it with such disregard I figured it was my only hope but I didn’t want to. In 2019/2020 I bled non-stop for 83 days!!!! She never did a blood test , checked my hormones or did an ultrasound. At the same time I was beginning to bloat extremely bad and noticeable. I would all of a sudden bloat and feel short of breathe. At my brothers wedding I was so fatigued and thought this must be cancer or an autoimmune disorder. I work out, I eat healthy, I don’t smoke so I knew something was extremely wrong. The emotional stress of not knowing what was wrong scared me and my family until we sat down and made a list of symptoms. After that I was for sure I was really sick. I called and asked for an appointment due to the bloating and fatigue, the nurse called me back and said “you are just constipated, take colace and call back in a few weeks.” I was done with them!!! I got a referral from a friend for her doctor and scheduled ASAP. He did blood work and an ultrasound that day!!! My long awaited diagnosis was polycystic ovary syndrome and a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my left ovary. It was urgent to get it removed before it ruptured! I had surgery the next week, he said it was unlikely cancer but my ovary was destroyed and had to be removed. He also removed endometriosis scarring that was causing so much pain and pressure. After I got the pictures he said my Fallopian tube was full of blood and was almost black. He didn’t know how long it would take to develop such a large cyst but if it had ruptured I would have been in agonizing pain and could have had internal bleeding. Needless to say I will never go back to Dr.Reidy !! I did ask for my records and all they have as a diagnosis was heavy bleeding and anxiety. She also had my medications and address wrong. Not only is she rude but feel she favors a certain kind of patient. Be aware of your doctors and stay away from Dr. Reidy unless you want to be Coolsculpted to look good in your lululemon yoga pants at your next Barre class!

I would recommend Dr. Anne Marie Reidy to anyone. I ended up in the ER with severe pain only to find a larger than a grapefruit sized cyst. The ER woke up Dr. Reidy and her office had called me by 8:02 a.m. to get me in the following day. I was in the office by 9:30 a.m. and in surgery with her the following day at 12:30 p.m. The surgery was complicated and took much longer than anticipated. Dr. Reidy talked to my family three times so they knew what was going on. Then, she checked on me morning and night until I was discharged. I cannot recommend Dr. Reidy enough. Excellent care and concern in a time of crisis.

Dr. Reidy cares for my teenage daughter who has Down Syndrome. I trust her opinion with the complicated decisions that I sometimes have to make regarding her gynecological health. She is kind and patient with my daughter, and my daughter is comfortable and at ease with Dr. Reidy which is a testament to her character.

I had an emergency d&c with Dr. Reidy and she also delivered my baby. I felt like she was very thorough, experienced, and caring. I would recommend her as an MD. However, I did not particularly care for the office staff. I felt like they could be very hurried, insensitive, and not very experienced. Also, wait times can be very long.

Overall, I'd say that she's one of the better doctors that you'll find in town. As the previous poster suggested, it's easy to like her and her staff, particularly if you're an obstetrics patient.My only area of disappointment is in the fact that you tend to feel more like one of a million, rather than a patient that there is actual time being taken with. I fully realize that MANY practices, if not all, are about like that these days. It's par for the couse in larger cities. My son delivered earlier this year (2011), and she caught the baby and walked right out. I know that we're not friends, as law and as general rules dictate. I just wish it had been a bit more personalized.Having said that, I will always trust Dr. Reidy and her staff. They hold my life and well being... as well as my growing child's, in their hands. And I won't be looking for another physician. I'd definitely recommend her to others. Just be aware that the practice is vast and your time can be hurried.
