Dr. Anne Barrett Spencer, MD

Dr. Spencer is great. She is caring and you don't feel like you are being rushed out the door for her to see the next patient. She is very kind and really desires to help. I highly recommend Dr. Spencer. She is also fabulous with kids too!

Dr. Anne Spencer is very thorough and takes the time to really consider what is going on with a patient. She will ask lots of questions, and make sure that you have all your concerns addressed.

I had the best experience with Dr Spencer. She listened to all my concerns, spent time to ask me questions and get to know me-- as this was a first time visit-- and gave me a very thorough physical and sent me for follow up tests and appointments with other physicians in town to be certain all my needs were met. I received a call with lab results from Dr Spencer personally. I highly recommend her.

My overall experience at the office was good. The staff was professional and helpful and the lab technician who took my blood was great! I cannot say the same for the doctor. She was very short and impersonal with me. I did not feel that she listened to my needs. Dr. Spencer began lecturing me and giving me advice in areas I was not even seeking help. I felt as if she has a personal agenda and was pushing it on me. I also discussed with her my allergy to fish and when I received a letter from her staff with the results of my blood work, the number one recommendation was for me to begin taking fish oil tablets. Though she did not send this letter personally, I do feel it is her responsibility to know what medical advice her team is giving and to ensure that it is not life threatening.

I have worked in the medical field for over 12 years and never have I encountered such an utterly rude and disrespectful physician. Not only would she not make eye contact but she studdered answering my questions and Hmm'ed multiple times. I felt she lacked knowledge in what she was attempting to explain. She made me feel uncomfortable and her lack of confidence made me question her as a physician. She had no care about my concerns and would not take the time to answer my questions. Instead, she wanted me to schedule another appointment. No thank you. I want to encounter a physician who is comfortable giving medical advice.
