Dr. Anne Ayae Tanabe, MD

She was called in to tend to my father because his regular physician was not doing hospital rounds. He had fallen down and hit his head. ER doctor was told not to administer to him because she would be coming to ER shortly. It took her 7 hours before she arrived. Once admitted to the hospital, she was always late in returning calls, rushing because she was late for something else, disheveled because she was so unorganized, and unprepared to do rounds (spent most of the time having to look up files or call her office for information because she didn't have it with her. Her office never could get in touch with her nor were they very accommodating or friendly. Her excuse was that she lived on the other side of the island and that she could never anticipate how traffic would be.

Dr. Tanabe is an excellent physician. She is very knowledgeable and has a fantastic bedside manner. She is very down to earth and personable. She explains things to my level of understanding. She is also very thorough when examining me. Her office staff Elaine and Shirley are also excellent.
