Dr. Annette Marie Grundmeier, MD

Annette Grundmeier was my kids doctor and my grandkids doctor till she returned…. I never had a issue with her and she helped with my breastfeeding issues she made sure I got the help I need with breastfeed… my daughter was a sick baby and she was there for us all the time I could not ask for a better doctor!!!

I saw Dr. Grundmeier as a patient through my childhood and in that time I saw nothing but a complete lack of professionalism. I struggled with chronic UTIs as a teenager and when I was out of the room to pee in the cup she told my very religious mother that the only explanation was that I was being sexually promiscuous. She also was unable to find a cause for my chronic pain and told my parents I was likely just looking for attention but I later went on to be diagnosed with a medical condition. Because my parents trusted her my medical condition went undiagnosed for over 20 years.

Dr. Grundmeier is very old school. I desperately wanted to breastfeed my baby, but she insisted that I supplement with a bottle until baby's weight increased during the first few weeks of baby being born. This is a huge problem for a mother and baby who want to breastfeed only. Dr. Grundmeier was very curt and had me in tears each time we had to visit her office, which was frequent during the first couple weeks. She thought I might be experiencing PPD, but it was hard to tell her it was just her insensitivity to a new, sensitive mom. I finally took our son to a new doctor and was told that my desire to breastfeed only was just fine and I was fully supported by our new, and current, doctor. I don't recommend Grundmeier due to her bedside manner and very outdated beliefs/practices.

I have be with Annette Grund Meyer for oh most 23 year now, it's going to sad when my youngest turns 18 this year but now my grandkids has her for a Dr.. she is caring compassionate about the kids she cares for couldn't ask for a better Dr when you have the best all ready

Dr. Grundmeier delivered our daughter, Isabella and has been her doctor ever since. She has also treated our 12 yr old son when needed and I have felt very confident in her skills and knowledge. Not many good doctors left out there but Anne Grundmeier is one of the best.

Although I haven't seen this doctor in about 18 years, I would never go back to her. Our insurance had changed and I had to take my 8 month old daughter to the doctor for a follow up for chronic ear infections. It would be our first time with this doctor. Unfortunately, the night before our appointment, my husband and I left the gate off the stairway for about one hour while we were repeatedly having to go up and down the stairs. My husband didn't realize he didn't shut the door all the way to the stairs and our daughter managed to pull the door open from under it and fell down the stairs. She was unconscious at first and not knowing exactly what to do (as first time parents) we immediately rushed her to the emergency room. She had a concussion and raised bumped on her head. I kept the appointment for her ear infection the next day. Stupid me! I immediately let the office know what had happened the night before. I was kept waiting in the waiting room for 1 hour! The office… staff just kept staring at me. Then, I was kept in the examining room for another hour before Dr. Grundmeier saw us, and a third hour after she saw my daughter! I was asked questions and treated as if I had abused my child! Very little was said or done about the ear infection check-up we were there for. If I had abused my child, I certainly would NOT have kept a previously scheduled doctor's appointment. After the appointment, I left shaking and in tears! I called the doctors office and told them I felt they had a huge lack of professionalism. They tried to apologize, but the damage had already been done. I never went back. In fact, I went back to our previous doctor and paid full price for the appointment with him instead. Needless to say, this was such a hard time for me as a parent, I have never forgotten it. I can understand doing what is in the best interest of a child, but this was over the top.
